Im glad they left i wish them the best of luck. they got treated poorly and there was no need for it. This company doesnt understand how to treat employees at all. i hope that everyone who was laid off or fired lands back on there feet quickly.

Now why would they go and shut off cell phones? when i was a driver the cell phone was one of the most important aspects of customer service? that is just plain dumb. how in the world are these customers supposed to reach there drivers now? i cant wait to hear what they do next because they are just dooming themselves.

I worked at the zoots in stoughton and i was laid off after 3 years working there. And what was even worse than that they gave me a one day notice. I was shocked and they even took apart the store while i was still working. im very upsett about the whole thing and i feel even worse for my co-workers because they had worked in store 21 for 7 years. i dont know what they are going to do but zoots should have told us about are stores closing sooner.

im sorry to hear that happened to you heather. i heard they did that to pretty much every store they closed. it just shows you how they dont care about anything except themselves. they should of given you a heads up earlier than 1 day so you could look for employment. pretty much everyone i have talked to is fed up with this company and there awful attitude and just awful customer service skills. i dont see them being in business that much longer.

Funny to hear the new ownership is telling vendors that they are a completely different corporation - Sort LLC (MA). But if they got unpaid stock (hangers, poly) from Zoots Corp as part of the sale, those vendors will be within their rights to sue Sort LLC for the payments due them as Zoots could not claim ownership of the stock to legally convey them to Sort LLC. Further evidence the new ownership doesn't have a clue as to what they got themselves in to.

I read that article yep they are in some major trouble. they have a huge uphill battle ahead of them and i just dont see it happening. i looked at what they still had for delivery routes and wow have they downsized dramatically. i wonder if they have switched the drivers back to hourly instead of commission because i cant see many customers staying onboard after that article.

another version of the story
http://boston.bizjournals.com/boston/stories/...
" None of the region's 350 jobs were eliminated during the management buyout, even though seven outlets were closed, said Zoots spokesman Scott Farmelant."

I was a customer at one of the closed stores. Drove up one day and they were closed. I feel bad for the nice folks that worked there. They have all the customers emails but obviously made no effort to try to retain them from the closed stores. Clearly not business savvy people.
