Some thought should be given to the reality of the 3 strikes. The offender will now stop at nothing to avoid being caught. We have already taken the right to pursue away from the police in CT. After the initial dangers created by their thieves flight from a crime, now a high risk apprehension would have to be made in our neighborhoods. No one will turn themselves in on a warrant knowing their second or third strike is being called.

3 strike rule is great. The only problem I see, is that there is many people that under this policy would technically have to be jailed causing a influx of inmates in our already over populated system. Can't ship to VA anymore, we all know how that turned out. People will not turn themselves in, but they will commit future crimes again and when they do, 3 strikes and your out.

Three and out isn't that bad.

But it tends to send your two strikers to another state so what is good for Ct. may not be so good for Ma.or NY.
If they are illegals , many go home.

How about 1 strike and you're out!!!! Too much leniency already. Want to give them three murders, etc. before you really mean business. That's the problem -- too much leniency. Let's stick to the law and punish the criminals. How about providing these criminals with a real life sentence! Provide them with food - what happened to bread and water - shelter - a roof over their head, and clothing. These are the basic human needs.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Aquarius

Keep calm and all will be well. You're feeling slightly fraught because there are so many demands on your time, and it won't help if you're trying to juggle some last-minute chores with some fun-filled social events. Get others to lend you a hand, or tell yourself that perfection is not an option right now and that you'll have to scale down your preparations accordingly.
