Schatzman is cosmetic. A lot of his procedures are just on paper and they don't go by them. He's driven his patrol while consuming alcoholic beverages. He's had more turnover in his 8 years than under the two previous sheriffs combined.

Schatzman drives a County Owned Vehicle and consumes Alcohol and Has Fired more Deputy's than Ron Barker who was a Drunk and Corrupt as well. I know this to be true having worked for both of them

Herron is a man of strong character and values. He has the actual street experience needed to do the job. Bill Schatzman has experience in sitting behind a desk. He has none actually patrolling the community and taking care of it's citizens.

For 35 years, I’ve worked as a public servant with the Winston-Salem and Cooleemee Police Departments along with working at the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office. I’ve worked with Sheriff Bill Schatzman and retired Major Jerry Herron. Mr. Schatzman was elected at a time when a change was definately needed, however he’s fallen short of the expectations of the position he holds.

The sheriff should be a person of great integrity and character. When it was revealed that the sheriff said he didn’t know he was violating departmental policies while drinking and driving his county issued patrol car, that didn't cut it with me. He’s been in law enforcement long enough to know better.

Mr. Schatzman served 24 years with the FBI as an agent, but was never promoted to supervisor. He’s never worked in local law enforcement has open said he wasn't sure how to run the department. Jerry Herron on the other hand served 26 years in the Sheriff’s Office, working in almost every division. He’s spent most of his career in supervision rising to the rank of Major.

As a supervisor in the sheriff’s office I always thought it was my job to speak up for officers when they were right, tell them when they were wrong, keep superiors informed of problems within the ranks and offer solutions. Well, apparently I was wrong because in June of this year, I was terminated and told my services were no longer needed. They offered no other reason or explanation and Sheriff Schatzman refused to meet with me. He continues to ignore problems that are pecking away at morale. He hasn’t eliminated cronyism like he says, because it still flourishes within the department. Promotional procedures aren’t real and disciplining employees has been anything but fair and consistent.

I urge voters to restore leadership in the sheriff’s office. Vote Jerry Herron for Sheriff of Forsyth County.

Schatzman is the right man for the job. Jerry couldn't handle the stress

The job would be too stressful for Jerry
