Great friends they were, too. I heard they were the DFL hug therapy instructors.

I plan to introduce "3-day cooling off" legislation requiring that all purchasers of baseball bats to pay for the bat, fill out a background information form, submit to a criminal background check and wait 3 days prior to taking said bat home.

Baseball bats need to be licensed. How many more people need to die from these weapons. It's worked for guns, hasn't it?

Gotta watch out for those bowlers. Once again, a poorly written story.

I have an idea: let's all use this personal tragedy to forward our political agendas!

Doh! Too late.

bats and knives can be used as deadly weapons.

However, when was the last time someone went on a batting spree killing 15 kids in class within 2-3 minutes?

I can see an obvious problem with these "boys". They are 31 and 33, referred to as kids, remembered as normal teenagers!! Common, they are practically middle aged!!

"It was a real shock for me," said Michael Palmer, 44, who was married to Skare's mother for seven years. "He was just a normal kid."

Palmer, who lives near Walker, Minn., said he remembers Skare as a typical teenager who was "easygoing, went to work and paid his bills."

This doesn't make any sense. Unless he's actually 54.

It's ridiculous, Jeff T gets the politics going right out of the starting gate. Actually I heard they were two Republicans that got into it over a tryst with a certain Senator in an airport bathroom. For God's sake settle down keep the politics to political subjects.

Right on, JCT. I just don't get why there's references to what a person may have been like 15 years ago.

Remember the movie that showed Robert DeNiro as Al Capone, using a baseball bat to smash a guy's skull in ? Walk Tall and carry a big stick we say.
ofcourse had the dead kid been armed and killed the other guy what would we be saying then ?

There have been published reports of senile citizens taking out several innocents with their automobiles in farmers markets.

My sympathy goes out to both families. Chuck and Josh are/were good guys. Chuck has never been a violent person and Josh was his best friend, this makes absolutly no sense. Both families are in my prayers.

Senseless acts of violence never make sense. My sympathies to the families of this tragedy.
