The conservative 'powers that be' in Grand Rapids have decided to challenge the will of the people and attempt to defeat democracy once again. They hate democracy so much they are willing to sue, spending taxpayer dollars, if they can't get their way in court.

So lets get this straight. This was an example of the people making a difference in their community, having a say in how their money is spent and what we deem to be priorities from a law enforcement perspective. Enough signatures were gathered and it was voted on. 58% of people in Grand Rapids voted for this law and now Devos' henchmen want to use the people's own money to sue the people for proposing such a law!!!

It's pretty clear who hates freedom and democracy in this country and with all their attempts to deflect their own hatred of freedom by bringing up the constitution and scary words like 'socialism' this is, again, a case of actions speaking louder than rhetoric.

Screw this lil Miss Mish and her boss Bill Forsyth (one of Devos' henchmen) and their attempt to squash democracy in the name of purity and conservative values. This is the exact reason Grand Rapids will never become more than it is. It's destined to be a small town stuck in neutral run by little puppets with a select few pulling the strings behind the scenes. I guess for some people that's OK, they enjoy their little town and the lack of outside influences. Choosing a bubble over reality seems to be a strong conservative trait.

Seriously? I'm actually embarrassed for you. Have your little loser hissy fit then look beyond smoke filled brain at the hard working and productive people out there trying to make ends meet without bothering anybody, stepping on rights, trying to pass liberal agendas or stupid ideas. If you think our town is stuck in neutral because we don't agree with you and some of your pothead friends so what? Why do we have to give up on our beliefs because you're stupid? Why do we have to fight with you all the time and defend ourselves because you can't deal with the word "no"? It's kind of ironic that you think we can't deal with reality when you're the one toking up isn't it? You accuse us of being in a bubble when we're the ones paying the bills. Do you even know how hard it is to do that while theirs idiots like you complaining all the time wanting to legalize pot, gay marriage, sex with your hamster, etc.....I'm sooooooo sick of you......Gooooo to work....stop smoking weed....be nice to your folks.......be productive in society......stop complaining......basically, shut up!!...Spoiled little....snivvling...GET A JOB MORON!!

The problem here is it isn't just me a few of my pothead friends. This is a law that passed by 58% of the people! You can try and minimize this as just some pothead agenda to justify wanting to squash the people's voice (and possibly suing to do so) but that doesn't change the gravity of the situation here.

So, you've done nothing but prove me right.

58% of the city's people need to shut up (so you can shit on democracy) because a small percentage of retarded, stupid crackers like yourself don't agree with the rest of us? Maybe it's time you shut up and let democracy takes it's course for once. YOU are the crybaby here. YOU are the one that can't deal with being told NO. Your attempt to turn the tables here won't work this time. In this case the people are the winner, fair and square. They have spoken and YOU lost. Take it like a man instead of a lil bitch. You can't pick and choose when you want democracy to win and lose. In the end democracy and the people's voice will always win. If it gets defeated by sore losers like yourself this time I can guarantee there will come a day when it will succeed. So in the end all the (taxpayer) money spent on lawsuits, campaigns to keep pot criminalized and all the money spent to incarcerate offenders will be wasted and all you conservative jerk-offs will look even dumber than you do now.

So you see nothing wrong with a city suing it's people over a law they voted to pass? Using those same people's tax money?!!! You see no injustice in that?

Freedom haters.

Wow!! 58% huh! Woopideedoo! You go ahead and be embarrassed for me because then I'll know I'm a good person who's values keep me employed, healthy, and an upstanding citizen, not to mention a pride to my parents.

Wanna compare W-2's?

I'm employed and have been since I was 15 years old. I'm healthy as a horse with a BMI of 23 and can bench press 300lbs. My parents, they're dead so I'm not sure how much pride they have for me.

Simmer down youngster. A little man will be there shortly with a tax payer funded jacket that will fit you quite snuggly. You are mad, that's for sure. You feel quite strongly about this and I feel the opposite. Be wise and stop with the name calling. I'm fine, but other people might get offended. I'm thinking that your 58% are busy with their homework to come help you get into your snuggly white jacket, so just wait for your mom.

But you don't feel strongly about this and I need to stop the name calling...

You:

But when I respond to this I'm shallow.

Defending conservative values is a hard job these days, but I don't use racist terms and a little life advice might be what you're lacking since you have no parents. You keep asking me if I know what you mean and I'm now asking you whether you really know what you're trying to defend. 58% of the people that voted in the last election voted on a charter amendment that is being questioned as to its legality as it conflicts with state law, not to mention federal law. Can charter amendments be created that go against state law? That is the question. Should this happen? Should there be this precedence? You say yes. In reality this isn't "conservatives" going against what the people want, its whether or not a charter amendment can violate state law.

The same law has worked just fine in Ann Arbor for decades.

Marijuana, I think, is inhaled and wanting the government to play mommy and daddy is a liberal trait. We have freedom that was fought for, but you want more. There is a reason why we have laws in a civilized society.

State law is taking precedence and is stricter than a city ordinance.
