Blockbuster.com isn't much of a threat to anyone or anything as Netflix has dominated that industry and made Blockbuster and its management look like the inept fools that they are.

Blockbuster always had their movie or game pass which was the genesis of the Netflix and Total Access idea!

Have to agree with bbv atl...I have tried both and bbv online is better! I get game and movies plus if I want a"new" release right away I go to the store. Netflix tries to talk about streaming but who the hell cares about some old tv shows!? The inge thing that blockbuster need to do is change the name nobody know what total access is

I agree! Unless you go in a Blockbuster you really don't know what Total Access is! I believe most Netflix subscribers would change to Total Access if they tried it for a month.

The only way Blockbuster was the genesis of Netflix is that the founder, Reed Hastings, paid a large late fee to Blockbuster, had enough and created an empire that makes Blockbuster the laughingstock of the movie rental industry.

Yes because he planted that store there! John antiango statedin an interview 6 years ago they didn't even have an account set up for him because they looked for this"late fee" & could never find it. And beside why would he get pissed it was his fault. But yet again, nobody wants to be held accountable for thier own actions....but at least blockbuster isn't selling my info like netflix is

thats even hurtful to a STUD like Dan..
if you look at the history of the movie rental business, and blockbuster boys, You can see, Both Dan & Nomo are correct on eact statment ( true to fact ) about BB...

So , you might work at bb... but you might not relize there is much more to a bb business then just renting a few movies for to much money.. If you owned your very own movie rental business, then i would be a great suscess.. You dont seem to grasp, your working for , or a fan of THE MOIST EVILEST VIDEO RENTAL EMPIRE IN THE HISTORY OF VIDEO RENTALS..
But once you agree to that , you can sart your own store...

This is what will happen, about 3 months form now, all bb's will be gone, And you will stop with the nagitive engry about this evil empire, and think to yourself, WHY in the world did i want to support a evil company,,,

but guess what nomo nomo.... we forgive you in advance.... have a great movie night, form your local video store...( NOT BB )

I never liked Movie Gallery or Hollywood Video but I never ever wanted them to go out of business! They were good ideas which were run by poor leadership. And yes! REALLY look at the merchandise most BBV stores sell (not RENT)...... besides the theater favorites candy and Coke products EVERYTHING else can go! The company has never been successful at selling books, stickers, 3 foot long gummy snakes, gourmet chocolate, DVD players, Blue Ray players, electronics, etc..... The past leadership should NEVER EVER run a company again. They put BBV in this position!!! At the core Blockbuster does a GREAT job at renting and selling movies and games! They are not the cheapest (like Walmart) or the most expensive (like conv stores).

Well most of things that you talked about that bbv sells are on commitment. We don't post forit unless it sells out is lost I'm inventory. As fat as the retail movies bbv posts the answer as bigg box retailers they just user it as a loss leader, to get people in the storeto buy other product

No..... some of it WAS on consignment! In the store I work at it's all pretty much on clearance! They bought so much SH*T this holiday!

They gotta get back to basics and then hire buyers who focus on what will sell out in 1 month!

Blockbuster had its chance to get back to basics, but failed miserably.

Either way, Blockbuster is doomed.
