Cheaper cats, beagles await at animal shelter
Cats and beagles abound at the Tri-County Animal Shelter, and shelter officials are waiving adoption fees for folks adopting adult cats, 1 year old and older, and the friendly hunting dogs during Cool Cats for Summer and Beagle Bonanza campaigns this summer.

They should waive the fees, or lowered them down to $25 at most, for more than just a little while!! It should be a regular thing when you consider how many cats were put down because a loving family couldn't afford the $85 plus all supplies needed to bring one of them poor little ones home!! lots of them..
Some say well they shouldn't be adopting a pet if they can't even afford the adoption fee and supplies. Well that is loads of crap.. that high adoption fee would feed and keep fresh litter for one cat for up to 3 months!!
With all the ferral cats out there, I don't see why they do not do so :(

Part of that fee is to have the animal sprayed or neutered. People should not adopt a pet if they can't afford to properly care for the animal. That's why there are so many feral cats out there. All of my cats were born feral and for years I cared for a feral colony in Waldorf. I traped 23 of them and had them sprayed and neutered. I only have 5 cats left and they are kept inside.
