Bus riders blast rude drivers, late routes
Commuter bus regulars complained of late or missing buses and broken air conditioning, but what really seemed to rankle the people at a public hearing Wednesday evening was hostile and even threatening behavior from drivers and dispatchers.

Well, I must say that many of the riders are complaining of overcrowding of the buses here in Southern MD. Overcrowding can become a problem when it is due to over population. However, in this case I still don't see the problem with overcrowding. How can riders complain about overcrowding when these same riders along with many others allow buses to go by them when they don't like a certain driver. I have heard different complaints ranging from, this driver is to reckless, to slow, won't go around traffic, and so on. Please people, lets get real. If everyone is going to sit around and let buses go by them just so they can ride with there favorite driver, then please stop complaining when a bus comes by you full. It's not overcrowding that is taking place, but rather riders allowing lines to get long because the refuse to ride with certain drivers.

Now, on the issues of bus breakdowns. Well, we all know that this is a problem. However, please understand that these buses are driven on average 120 to 320 miles per day. Buses are like cars, they have wear and tear on them. Try driving you car that many miles per day, then let us know if your car still runs perfect after that.
