They sure do! It was the biggest mistake when Driver's Ed class was taken out of the school system! Now, we pay $300.00 for a course that the kids are rushed through and the officials wonder why so many of our teenagers are in accidents.

I definitely agree! When will they finally see that this should be put back into the school system?

Probably the reason drivers' training was taken out of school is because there's not enough time in the day. All minutes of the school day are geared toward high school graduation requirements and assessments. And the $300 is a real hardship for lots of families - should be provided by the state.

How old do you have to be to get your learners?

I had a drive cam in my car for a while. I didn't like it at first, but two months to the day after i got my provisional license, i got in an accident on rt 4. (not my fault). The drivecam was a good way for me to see what happened, and to be able to show a judge what happened if i had to take the guy to court. I highly suggest the drive cam for teens.

I agree with "crabluver", driver's ed should be put back into the school system and they should make it fit into the schedule. It's ridiculous how parents have to pay over $300 just for their kids to sit there and write down a notebook full of notes and only drive a couple of times during that time period.

I took Driver's Ed through the school, but it was AFTER school, back in '85. I don't remember what it cost, I'm sure it wasn't $300. I don't have a problem that students have to pay for the class, driving is a privilege not a right. And if you can't afford a class, you probably can't afford a safe car with insurance and fuel! Just my thoughts, but as long as we all drive safely, I don't care how its acheived.:)

I would never put one in my car anyone knew about. Imagine your kid texting or another stupid driving trick and bam!

Now the person your kid it has exhibit A.

If I were to let my kids drive it would be an older car without a tattle tale box (like Onstar or many newer cars with tracking system). It would also have a roll cage and 5 point seatbelts (I remember the things I did as a teen driver)

Just my 2 cents.
