Goodbye Weiner...

[SO LONG]

Came thru town the other day and turned around and went back. We went around town.......pathetic! The whole place is growed-up w/ weeds, half the houses should be tore down (all the empty/dangerous ones),one VERY greasy spoon (to stop in and listen to gossip),no store, no gas station....not anything, wait except a HUGE Post Office--and thats a foundation for a community FOR SURE!There is nothing but a DIRTY lttle spot where a nice little town was. The people that still live there should have more pride than that, get out and mow or something. Everyone cries about the school leaving and no jobs, well....letting it all grow up, well, that will show them won't it! LMAO, gosh people its your town and I doubt anyone is ever going to open any buisness, nor will new people move there,...BUT YOU COULD CLEAN IT UP! Like I said nobody is coming back but you could make it pretty for the milli-second people see it as THEY DRIVE THRU! And drive-thru they will, but have some pride, instead you've turned your little town into an armpit! I guess it does fit in with all the local greats now though, like: Amagon, Grubbs, Hickory Ridge, Fisher? Waldenburg has you WAY outclassed, go thru htere and see how nice it looks, everything mowed-trimmed/looks nice ! Weiner WAS a great little place, hate to see it go, sorry, hate that its GONE!! SORRY for you? NO--look around and see..........now you understand too

I too feel that residents in weiner have let their town go but if you complain, then your name is on a mud list. Maybe people will read your message and think about it. there are still many nice folks who live here and do care.

I hope the town council gets everyone to clean up their yards or give them a citation!!!!! The RF is coming up and lots of people will be coming into town.

As a resident, I can tell you it has been next to impossible to have a nice looking yard in Weiner this year. We've had to mow several times when it was too wet to mow and looks just about as bad as too tall. We cannot control the weather. Just ask the farmers.

yep kind of hard to mow when your yard has been under water most of the season.....if you dont like our town then stay the hell out of it. we live here because we like it

It is getting to the point that Weiner doesn't even care. Myra sits on her carcass at City Hall, and does nothing but talk on the phone. Went in to make a payment, and she was talking on the phone with the cell phone company about her personal cell phone. Never once said a word. They don't care about the appearance of anything. There are several yards with so much crap in them. And they are overgrown. It still depends on what your last name is here, so they don't deserve any better.

I wish we would change our name back to west prairie. Weiner has so much negative meanings these days. a lot of words have changed over the course of time. West prairie is such a pretty name and one that wouldn't embarrass our kids to admit they are from. This might be the wrong place for this and if it is would someone please start one.
