In MA, the guns need to be locked up, that's the law and he complied. While it is wise to do so, there is no law against unlocked ammo.
What is the story here? the teens broke into a home and stole things - THEY should be charged, not the cop. |

yes the kids broke in, but do you store guns in your shed? He should have removed them once the place was broken into the first time. He is a police officer they are more aware of thefts than the average person. He is also a gun instructor who should have known better more than the average gun owner. Punish the kids Punish the cop. Did he get to keep his pension?
I am upset that the kids were given the opportunity to get their hands on all that weaponry and ammunition we have kids gettin their hands on guns and USING them in schools. Those kids could have brought them to the Tech and used them. Look at the big picture what could have happened. Punish them all. |

Bullets are not sold as singles. Frequently they are boxed in packages of 20, 50, or 100's. Then these boxes are packaged in a case. 100 boxes of 100 packs equals 10,000. Can you imagine going hunting and stopping off for 12 bullets? |

This police man should be in Jail What do you mean he did not break the law. the house was not secure and was falling down all around him.

The house had previously been broken into and the police had already told this dimwit to properly secure the house. This boob didn't even live at the property. And the property was in neglect and was practically effortless to access.
You cops and you cop supporters can argue that he broke no law and you are correct. But, he showed a complete lack of concern over having countless weapons and ammo in a neglected, unsecured house. He should be charged with criminal negligence. Obviously; if he wasn't a cop he would have been charged. I firmly believe that the police would have taken a much harder line with a regular citizen, if he left guns and ammo in an unsecured abandoned house. This guy is a fool for behaving as unresponsible as he did. It just goes to show all of us the brainpower of some of the cops. And, to make matters worse; this boob is a firearms instructor! This story is a disgrace; for the Wilmington PD as well as for the fool cop involved. |

What did you expect from these kids they all went to the Shawsheen Tech. Lets face it they were not genious's they didnt have any homework so they figured that they would be constructive and break into a house and comitt some felonies. So lets protect these kids and blame the real victim here (Officer Larivee.) Whats next for these kids armed robbery or something even worse. I know maybee we will blame Officer Larivee for that also. Get real people see this for what it really is. A bunch of kids that did something wrong.
