Only those directly involved know the truth about these people. Politics can go both ways whether it be to smear someone or to cover up what some people don't want you to know. Remember if it looks like a duck and sounds like a duck, it probably is a duck. The best liars are those that you can't really tell they are lying until it is too late.

THIS IS LISA-KATHARINE OTSUKA.

Hi, everyone:

Anyone who wishes to reach me can POST their email address and a message here (instead of hiding behind anonymity).

Thank you, to those of you who had kind words for me and my husband Earl.

I may not be able to answer some of your questions because of pending litigation; if I cannot adequately address your issues, I will say so, and I will also email you after any related litigation is resolved so that I may then respond.

I don't think it's fair that people who don't know me, and who can't possible know the whole story, would feel that it's okay publish unkind things here or anywhere on the www.

I specifically asked friends and family who wanted to come forward in my defense to NOT do so over the years; during His Honor the Mayor Jeremy Harris' Grand Jury investigation, of which I refused to testify, every single person even remotely related to me was victimized.

From the beginning I have stood on my own two feet, by the Grace of God, and have withstood this type of victimization and worse.

In the correct timing related to our pending litigation, the WHOLE truth ABOUT EVERYTHING will be revealed.

God Bless you and yours, Lis

She's always pregnant. Same guy I hope.
The court needs to order her to keep her legs closed.
Dear "Knifer":

Do you know me? Do you have children? Do you have a grudge against people who have children?

Just FYI, my sons were conceived by the "same guy" -- my HUSBAND of 9 years.

Why do you think that any court should have the right to "order" any person to "keep" their "legs closed"?

I always wanted to be a mommy and a wife; I WAITED to have children until my doctor told me that waiting longer would not be a good idea and then my husband and I planned for them.

Do you have any friends or family who have, or wanted to have, 3 or more children?

My husband and I have 2 children; while we are happy for the blessings of 2, we would be happy also for the blessings of more.

If you wish to be in direct contact with me, you are welcome to respond by posting your name and email address; I will reach you directly from there.

God bless you and yours, Lis

Lisa-Katherine Otsuka moved to Las Vegas and has used pregnancy as a reason to avoid being returned to Hawaii.
Dear "Iole",

Do I know you? You obviously don't know me, or any of my family, or any of my friends.

Every thing you said in your post was wrong.

First, I did not "move" to Las Vegas; and 2nd, I did not "use" my pregnancy "as a reason to avoid being returned to Hawaii."

On your first wrong contention, that I "moved" to Las Vegas, my husband and I went there to set up a satellite office for a business we co-owned with another Principal.

That I was pregnant at that time was a blessing, and, as it had similarly happened with prior pregnancies for both of my sons, I ended up being ordered to complete bed rest.

As it was documented in court, my attorney new where I was, gave me permission to go, and did not tell me I needed to return to Hawaii.

In just weeks prior to my extradition from Las Vegas, there was a media expose that more than 10,000 Class A Felony bench warrants (murder, armed robbery, rape, etc.) remained un-served; my attorney told me to see to my pregnancy, that he would work it out to delay a scheduled court appearance, and that I didn't have to worry about anything. I wasn't worried, but I was concerned; I had made arrangements to return to Hawaii anyway, and the day before I was scheduled to leave the Las Vegas police came to our Las Vegas residence and arrested me.

When the Las Vegas police arrested me at our Vegas residence (they had no trouble finding me because the court knew my Las Vegas address), they detained me for 30 days (the maximum allowable holding time for an extradition), and then HPD came to Vegas to transport me back to Hawaii.

There is no "complete bed rest" in jail and there certainly wasn't for me; it is also well documented that I miscarried while in custody in jail in Las Vegas.

You cannot fathom the grief of being separated from my then infant and toddler sons, the trauma caused to my children by having been so abruptly separated from me for such a long period of time without having been prepared for it, and also the grief of having miscarried; in jail, I grieved alone, and my husband, family and friends suffered immeasurably.

If you wish to reach me directly, you are welcome to post your name and email address and I will be glad to respond to you directly.

I don't mean any disrespect to you at all by refuting what you've said, I'm only setting the record straight, yet again, on how I've been victimized (and what I've told you here has already been made public in court records).

God Bless you and yours, Lis

she ain't doing the hoochy-koochy in her present condition, but when she's up and about, I guess Vegas is a good place for her to be.
Not much action on Maui, eh?
Dear "Anonymous":

I don't understand your remark about "hoochy-koochy" and "thinking" for myself; I don't mean any disrespect to you by saying this, but I don't think calling a girl "hoochy-koochy" is a very nice thing to say and I can't imagine that it's a nice way to characterize a woman.

Do I know you? If you did know me, "hoochy-koochy" is not a term our friends and family would use to describe me.

I am the mother of 2 children, I have a long-standing and award-winning record of service to our community, and I've been married for almost a decade.

I am far from perfect, and don't pretend to be, but "hoochy-koochy" I am not.

I have frieds who think that being "hoochy-koochy" is great, and they're having "fun" so good for them, but even among those friends the idea that ANYONE would call me "hoochy-koochy" is ridiculous.

It's not funny for me to find that you called me "hoochy-koochy", and it's also not funny that you commented that I'm not thinking for myself.

In fact, because I am and have been "thinking," I have stood on my own two feet, by the Grace of God, I have suffered more indignities than anyone should ever have to suffer through being victimized, and I have FOUGHT for my day in court.

I think your post about me is "funny," to the degree that you seem like you have a sense of humor, so I thank you for that.

If you wish for us to be in contact directly, post your name and email address and I will reach you as soon as I can.

God bless you and yours, Lis

Dear "Wassamattayou":

I don't know you, and know you don't know me; what did you mean when you wrote that I come up with "one excuse after another"?!

Are you one of those people who believes EVERYTHING you see on the news or read in the newspaper?

I don't mean to disrespect you by asking that question -- it's just that MOST people think that if something reaches the media then "it must be true."

In fact, the news media sometimes reports errors because they are misinformed; also, sometimes the media puts a "spin" in their reporting to sensationalize a report.

Shock-and-awe is an old trick, and while it may be fun for people watching the news or reading newspapers, it's not fun at all for the people being victimized by misinformation or a "spin."

If you have any other remarks, you are welcome to post your name and email address, and I will respond to you directly if I can.

If you kept her in jail, she wouldn't have changed lolos five times. Del Rosario, that vomiting was just a stunt. Could you not detect that? Wake up!!!!!!!! The pending cases have been going on since 2001, is the legal system on its toes or what?
Dear Manapua Man:

In 2004, when I was pregnant with my first son, I was hospitalized on multiple occassions for hyperemesis, a severe form of "morning-sickness" that only affects less than 5% of all pregnant women. If you research what hyperemesis is, it can endanger the life of the mother and unborn child. In 2005, when I was pregnant with my second son, I had hyperemesis again, and was hopitalized for nearly 5 months of my pregancy because of hyperemesis and also pre-term labor; my second son was born at only 7 months but he weighed-in at over 6 pounds, thanks to steriod treatments and other interventions his lungs were well developed, and he did not have any complications normally associated with "premature" birth (they told me that if I had gone full-term he might've reached 10 or 12 pounds).

Any pregnant woman having morning sickness is not faking.

When I threw up in court, I was hypersalivating, I had a doctor's note explaining my condition and that I had been ordered to bed rest, and I when I couldn't contain the nausea I was feeling I sprinted toward the bathroom but didn't make it.

I vomitted, in court, in front of everyone present, I was vomitting on myself as I was trying to rush to the bathroom, I was completely embarrassed, and even as I reached the door to leave court I was overcome with dry-heaving.

Anyone who was in court that day (and we did have a packed gallery), would've seen my embarrassment, dismay, horror, and upset that I couldn't control my morning sickness to spare myself or them.

My cases have been pending since the year 2002, the same year that I refused to testify against His Honor Mayor Jeremy Harris.

I have fought for my day in court and will continue to do so, as is our right as individuals in America.

If you have any further remarks, or if you wish to reach me directly, you are welcome to post your name and email and I will be gald to be in contact with you.

God bless you and yours, Lis

Beauty queen? More like crime queen!!!!!!!! Have you seen this wahine????????
Dear "Okole Maluna":
First, I have been characterized in the press as a former "beauty queen" because I did enter into and win a pageant; the pageant, however, was the Miss Maui pageant, as a preliminary to the Miss Hawaii, which is the preliminary to the Miss America.
As everyone knows about the Miss America pageant, it is a SCHOLARHSIP pageant, not a "beauty" pageant.
I entered the pageant in the hopes that I could earn SCHOLARSHIP funding for my college costs.
You called me a "crime queen"; if you just saw me at the park playing with my children, or at the library reading books to my kids, or watched me engaged in our community as a volunteer in the numerous projects I've served, just by "see"ing me, do you think you would still call me a "crime queen"?
I think you have called me a "crime queen" because you are influenced by what you have seen on the news or read in the newspapers; our friends and family are appalled at the manners in which I have been characterized in the press.
I'm sorry that you think so ill of me without even knowing me; I hope that you will never be mischaracterized by anyone and also misdjudged because of it -- it's not fun and it hurts a lot.
If you ever wish to be in contact with me, you can post your name and email and I will reach you as soon as you do.

I went to high school with Lisa. She was pretty and very talented in dance & music and just 17 when the Miss Maui incident occurred.
I am saddened by the choices she has made in her life.
Dear "Mid":

Thank you for your kind words.

I don't know who you are by your log-in name, so I have no point of reference to otherwise know you.

During high school I was involved with lots of different activities and had lots of different groups of friends I hung out with because of my activities -- I made an effort to be friends with and friendly toward everyone.

I appreciate that you said what you did in this forum; it means a lot to me whenever anyone has anything even remotely kind or gentle to say.

Please do not be "saddened" by what you've heard are "choices" that I've made; in particular, by refusing to testify during the grand jury investigation of His Honor Mayor Jeremy Harris, I have been told that I am considered a "hero" in some circles.

I have had criminal charges brought against me as part of the victimization I have been made to suffer and at immeasurable cost to me, my family and my friends -- with their blessing and support -- I have diligently fought to see those charges through trial.

Going to court is not easy, but it is a challenge I've endured (with my family and friends steadfastly beside me) so that the truth can be told.

When everything is pau, the truth will come out.

I'm sorry if you've felt any upset about what you've seen or heard because of press coverage; the press will sensationalize reports to make it "newsworthy" and any "shock-and-awe" spin helps them market their "news." Also, because of my cases and pending litigation, I have not talked to the press.

When the timing is right for my cases and pending litigation, I and my attorneys will talk to the press at that time.

If you wish to be in contact with me, you may post your name and email and I will respond as soon as you do.

God bless you and yours, Lis
