New Life? or a Cope life? I believe the best way we need to look at Hawaii is to be a bridge to the mainland or the neighboring Islands. We Micronesian will have to succumb to the price of living there on Hawaii/oahu unless we need to travel to the neighboring Islands there, or better yet fly to the mainland.

WHAT????? The reason your people are disliked is that the state of Hawaii, meaning taxpayers, are forced to support you in everything. Succumb to the price of living here? What a laugh. Homeless that belong here are denied services because your people get everything free.

Your people..??? Only 1 percent of Micronesians are being supported in the state of Hawaii on welfare...Majority of them work and pay taxes just like the rest of all the immigrants who have migrated here in the first place. And for the record, there are no Homeless shelters in Micronesia because there are no homeless people. Try traveling to Micronesia one day and you will not see people trying to discriminate against you, instead they will welcome you, feed you, and house you for free if u cannot afford to rent a place.

No homeless there because they all moved here where for some unknown reason they go to the head of the line for all welfare including food and housing, paid for by taxpayers of Hawaii. Now in travel brochures they advertise "Beautiful Unspoiled Micronesia."

Feds should pay for all of their health costs. It is wrong for this state to be stuck with that bill.

Hawaii's costs of federal migration treaty rise
By Associated Press
HONOLULU (AP)— Costs to Hawaii's government have jumped to provide services to Pacific island migrants who moved to the United States under a federal treaty.
A newly released report shows that Hawaii government expenses rose from $32 million in 2002 to $115 million last year to pay for government services to migrants from Micronesia, the Marshall Islands and Palau.
Gov. Neil Abercrombie writes in a Tuesday letter accompanying the report that the state can't continue to absorb these costs without additional support from the federal government.
The letter was sent to the U.S. Office of Insular Affairs, which is evaluating ideas to reduce costs to local governments under a federal treaty granting financial assistance and migration rights after the U.S. used the Pacific islands for nuclear weapons testing from 1946 to 1958.

Micros you would be so much more welcome, if our Tax paying dollars alone, was not footing your EBT, housing and medical/dental coverages. Start working like the rest of us. Stop having more kids depleting more of our Tax dollars Stop taking over every bit of our shade trees on our beaches and parks. Flagrantly drinking in public and being a nuisance in the community. "If you cannot handle don't drink!" And Watch your kids!

The nonsense is that Hawaii tapayers are forced to support you but at least now the governor is trying to fix it. The nonsense is that you drag down our schools and medical care. When you are able to care for yourselves, it will be something good to talk about along with not spitting wherever you feel like it.

I mean only a problem of a few and it becomes problem of a nation. Its probably just a couple of them and you said "Micronesian."
