What do you imagine to be the worst case scenario for Hawaii?

Tsunami?

Extreme volcano eruption?

Hurricane?

The worst case I think will be when the western flank of Mauna Loa slides into the Pacific generating a megatsunami that will fill Diamond Head crater and create new highwater marks at Tantalus and Wahiawa.

The worst case scenario happened when Akaka become senator causing Hawaii to have 2 U.S. senators who were almost the same age--something which should have been avoided at all costs.

From this point on, we'll all be paying the price.

The longstanding joke around DC was that Inouye was such a powerful senator because he had two votes: Dan's and Dan's.

In hindsight, turns out it was a blessing and also a curse--Now that the King is dead, and formerly loyal subjects are now scattering to new loyalties, let us see what we shall see.

It has been reported that the Hawaii Democratic party had developed succession plans 10 years ago, but as it turns out, Burns was right:
"In proving foresight may be vain:
The best laid schemes of mice and men
Go often awry,
And leave us nothing but grief and pain,
For promised joy!"

Not being morbid at all, it WILL happen. Just a matter of time. Now go stick your head back in your asz.

Sounds like the monstrosity (steel rail) being forced on the people here with no strong support in US Congress when the thing runs off track s it most likely do in the very near future.

They're doing like their Lordship Obama, spending like it's raining money. Don't try to figure it out, there is no sensible answer.

In the aftermath of a monstrous hurricane or tsunami, if insurance companies find themselves overwhelmed with claims, can they get out of paying anybody anything by simply declaring bankruptcy?

We've been living the worst case scenario for the past 50 years...the only way it could get worse is if Obama retired and moved here then decides he wants to be the King of Hawaii..

Oh yikers.

Would a worst-c. scenario be a N. Korean nuclear missile hitting HI?

Would there be any recovering from THAT?
