Asserting that Zimmerman "confronted" Martin is a questionable characterization of unclear events.
While it is factual that Zimmerman followed Martin, it is also factual that Martin gave him the slip. It is also quite likely that Martin, having given Zimmerman the slip, returned to confront him.
The police nor their dispatcher ever commanded Zimmerman to stop. "You don't need to do that" is hardly a command.
If the media helps portray Martin as an innocent child, and Zimmerman a ruthless vigilante bigot bent on lynching a po' negra, then there is a better chance of convicting. But if we have an unbiased hearing based on an assumption of innocence, then true American Justice will prevail.
I am still shocked, that so many people lie so much about the evidence, just to promote a what? Pro-black agenda? We get enough of that from our federal government, and have for years....guess all this social engineering has spread to overtake Common Sense....

Zimmerman labeling Martin 16 times in his initial written statement as a suspect shows a mindset that doesn’t lead me to believe it was an oops. Zimmerman stupidly got himself into more than he bargained for and shot his way out of it.

In light of the obvious threat posed by a teenager being stalked late at night, outdoors in the dark, in the absence of any witnesses, by an adult armed with a handgun, does it matter who confronted the other? Under those circumstances, did not the teenager have the right to stand his ground?

Martin isn’t around to tell his side of the story, but Martin didn’t kill anyone. Zimmerman’s actions prevent Martin from being present. Zimmerman shouldn’t benefit from the loss he caused and the judge since ruled properly...Martin texts don't 'matter.'

He didn't know that Zimmerman was armed. If he did he wouldn't have jumped Zimmerman. He was fleeing from an obviously neighborhood watch guy in a truck. Martin knew exactly what he was doing and it backired, literally. You keep saying the "youth". Why not just say "infant" it sounds better.

I don't argue there was a mindset. An unknown teen wearing a hoodie sneaking around houses, black, white, Jap, Chink, Jew, what have you, would create a mind set, though. You assert that the mindset was simply because Martin was black. That'll be tough to establish.

Kinda like Elderts and Deedy.
Make big body, get shot.
It happens, and the "victim" usually plays a major role in his own demise.

Martin tried to run away from Zimmerman, or course the man would be suspicious. The prosecution is going to make a lot of Martin being a "helpless youth," yet he outweighed Zimmerman and was a lot taller. He did everything a thug does, including leading the security watch on a chase to where he could attack once he was in "his turf". The Black Panthers are offering a cash award for Zimmerman's death. Where's the prosector on this case?
Black Panthers offering a cash reward for Zimmermans death is another typical JBalls pathological lie. You are overjoyed by a 17 year old Black boys death for walking to his fathers house shows what a racist you are. You have a racist BLACK HEART and the sooner this country gets rid of punks like you the better off we are.

I'm drawing assertions[mindset] from the words of Zimmerman himself:

“A real suspicious guy”
“He looks like he’s up to no good”
“He looks like he’s on drugs or somepin”
“These a55holes, they always get away”
“F*cking punks”
“I don’t know what his thing is”
“Sh!t, he’s running”

From this I believe Martin's guilt was a Zimmerman fantasy.

If you want to "assert" race, that's your opinion, not mine.

I stand corrected.
Much has been made in the media (and by to portray GZ as a race profiling one-man lynch mob.
Without the race card, no media interest, and no conviction.

From yourblackworld.net :
"Actually, to those who aren’t as emotionally involved as George Zimmerman’s brother and mother, it appears that George Zimmerman was the one playing the race card when he targeted Trayvon Martin for no other reason than being black and walking in Zimmerman’s neighborhood. If George Zimmerman hadn’t targeted Trayvon Martin on the night in question, no one would even be having this discussion."

You need a class in remedial reading, I haven't brought race into my comments.

It should be stated some will like to defend those who kill an unarmed kid[s], take their chances with a judge and jury who don’t think it’s a casual, horrific incident that's an excusable kind of thing.

You wouldn't want to meet one of those "unarmed kids." They would stove your head in just for fun.

Martin had been previously caught with burglary tools and stolen jewelry from over twelve burglaies, so Zimmerman was correct in his suspicions. No wonder Martin had ran, he was about to be identified and be busted. AGAIN!
