How can we find out about ancient Polynesian navigators? Are there books written about these guys? Who came from the Marquesas and who came from Tahiti?

How convenient to forget the works of Uncle Kimo Hugho whose family took Uncle Mau in as their own..somehow that is always forgotten..and how Kekau sent him to Tahiti to greet the Hokulea when it really meant something back then.auwe

It sure would be nice if Oahu people had a chance to learn about Polynesian Navigation. Hopefully it will spread to over here.

look up the Polyesian Voyaging Society website and their YouTube videos. they have a great documentary on how Nainoa Thompson and the rest of the Hawaiian Navigators got their training from Master Navigator Mau Piailug from Micronesia. It's great.

They had no maps, so just went wandering around hoping to bump into something, and did. The remarkable thing about it that anyone survived long enough to accidently find any type of land, from the Vikings, to the Spanish, Portuguese, or anyone else. Think about it. Basically, all explorers just pick a direction and are lost in the ocean until they hit something. The Chinese settled half the world 10,000 years earlier than anyone else anyways. The Chinese are the ancestors of the American Indian, and they were the first to settle South America thousands of years before it was "discovered." by any Spanish. DNA has proved this many times over.

What can I say? I've done a lot of things and been in a lot of places. I ALWAYS tell the truth too. You've been trying to trip me up in a lie for years, haven't you? You'll NEVER do it. It's just that your life has been so dull and meaningless that my stories are unbelievable to a shut-in geek such as yourself.

You are a chronic pathological LIAR Balls and everyone knows that. Reason you posts on every thread is nobody will engage a pathetic azzhole like you face to face. Topixs is your only source of human contact and even here most dislikes you. Try facebook maybe someone will be your friend there but remember you have to tell da truth something you just cannot do.

Nope, I don't know anything about those navigators, just like you. The difference is, I'm not trying to convince anyone that I do.
