The people arrested on illegal fireworks possession should be tried on national security issues as being potential terrorists.
Neighbors that notice an increase in traffic in their residential area or a container parked in a residential area to unload goods should notify the FBI, TSA,and police.
It is only through the neighbors vigilance will these illegal fireworks be stopped.

Glen,

Quick answer, it will be politics first. They have been planning this for 50 years. They won't stop now.

Mr. Lau. Right on, but this board is comprised mostly of warmongers who cannot back the USA in enough wars. They think "we won" in Vietnam, Iraq, and will prevail in Afghanistan. Money, ethics, and morality has no consequence. While here at home Rome is burning, they want to fight, kill anyone who doesn't look, think, feel and pray to Jesus like them.
If Obama says tomorrow night, "Enough", I'll faint. He'll pony up 28,000 troops or so to ward off the mongers. It's pathetic.

Bush served Israel more than America in his bloody, disastrous wars.

Mahalo ia `oe e Chester Lau. Spoken like a true veteran.

And Hawaii 50 is so right.

The warmongers know that continuing the war in Afghanistan is good for big business, those firms that manufacture weapons of war. They couldn't care less about the human factor, the deaths, and what it does to those who survive the war -- on both sides.

It is time to get out of Afghanistan and Iraq. The money saved could solve most of our financial problems during this recession. If we don't get out now, the situation will continue to worsen, and we will be there for many more years.

Let's hope President Obama is smart enough to see that, and not knuckle under to the GOP, and others who choose war over peace.

LOL ! By sending in 30,000-40,000 more troops Obama is going to be just as much a Warmonger as any ;)

Even he realizes the REALITY of the World and those that want to kill Americans.

Pie in the sky Liberal Loons never see this beacause they live in a protected environment.

You say the money saved from getting out of this war will solve our problems. I doubt it. This administration is out of control. How about they cut the amount of people working in the WH.
Why don't they take that very same money used for the bail outs and bring back industry to this nation.
We could bring back all sourced out workers and their industries.
We could bring back car manufacturers, steel production.
We could encourage more oil drilling, and natural gas drilling, while finding better ways with, wind, water, sun, waves.
We could bring back clothing manufacturing, and cotton growing.
We could encourage anything we use in our daily lived to be built or grown here.
Penalize those that don't.
We could bring back electronics and their manufacturing.
We could bring back all appliance building home.
We need to grow more local foods like we used to.

This WH needs to take that very money for bailouts and do these things, and the economy will right itself.

We have to discourage those that think they are entitled. The ones that think the rest need to provide for them. If you are able, you work, if you don't, you starve.
Then we will be able to help those that truly can't provide for themselves.

We need to penalize the very banks that are raising each and every one of us on our
credit card interest rates, while all the time, using OUR government money to do it.

We need to make people accountable for their debts and we need to make sure that when a person buys a home, they can pay for it.

Absolutely no more serving special interest groups and no lobbying. Make gov't for the people, not how we can tax the people.
No more attorneys in the fray of things, control big Pharma.
Leave the Drs. and the Hospitals alone, they know what they are doing.
Get a handle on out of control unions.

We need to bring ethics and morals back in our government and the government needs to stay out of the running of our private lives and private business.
They have no business interfering and it isn't in the job description.

As for the war, it is time to make a decision for the betterment of our troops and America. If you aren't going to give them the tools, bring them home. It is very simple really.

What a nice, neat, tidy little republican fantasy world...You left out a bunch of stuff though. The biggest special interests out there IS private business - you know, those guys on Wall street who wrecked our economy, the drug companies, the insurance companies, the HMO's, the military contractors, the real estate industry - all those special interests who have laws on the books protecting them while they have the nerve to preach "free markets". And now you want to give them free reign without accountability? Talk about lack of ethics and morals. Corporate america wrote the play book.

Hey lady, you read it wrong. I was totally down on the very people that trashed us.
At least I offered suggestions and ways to bring back industry to this country. What have you done. Plese show where I want to give free reign to those special interest groups. You need glasses.
By the way. I am not Republican......I am American......this crosses both aisles.
