Despite what others may feel about Hawaii, I enjoy it. I moved to Hawaii from California after finding it harder and harder to leave when my vacation time came to an end. Sure, the racism sucks (I am not even white) and the locals treat me differently but I enjoy waking up to the beautiful mountains and blue water. Forget about the mean people here and enjoy yourselves! Come back and give the islands another try and don't let those "sour apples" ruin your good time.

I just ignore the fools, and enjoy the place. Who cares how dumb they are.

Lots of Australians come here, and they all say that. They are very outgoing, but are ready to scrap if need be.

Yes, Oahu has become what people try to escape from. You want drugs, traffic, crime, dumb people and shabby dwellings, you could have just stayed in a mainland ghetto.

ditto that here JB. Oahu is OK if you go to the best places. Otherwise you have to know the place inside and out. Then it is cool also. The druggies are a bunch of filth. I just avoid anyplace that they hang out except the chess tables.

Hawaii's locals are allowed everywhere. If it's your time...see ya.

Chess table lovers must like the smell of pee in the air.

It's not sexist to love women with big tits, it's natural. I should say, it's natural to love big tits on a woman that wears them well. I bet you're one that wears them under your arms or around your beltline, eh?

I lived on Oahu for five years until I had to return to Michigan to care for my elderly Mother. I plan on returning again..I love Hawaii. I was blessed with many friendships of the local Hawaiians. They are warm, caring people who share the Aloha. It is a very special place. Go with respect of the people and the aina. The culture is so important to them. I Have been treated with disrespect by some of the asians there. Asian men are certainly different...small dog syndrome maybe. But I've never been anywhere else that the people were so laid back and happy. How could you be anything else in such a beautiful place? I never wanted to leave in the 5 years I was there.

You should come back. You sound like the kind of malihini who quickly becomes kama`aina because you seem to have the Aloha spirit.
The haoles who complain:
1. Believe aloha is something they are due, and deserve right off the bat
2. Don't understand the universal rule of you get what you give.

Sounds like you got Aloha, sister.

Last time I visited Oahu, we drove as far west as we could and it was the natives that were mostly around that area and we got the unwelcome looks even from the children. But it was us that were picking up the trash that was left by the natives. Today it's the haoles who respect the land more then the natives.

BIngo! Yes and tourists don't ride and stress out the Hawaiian Green sea Turtles like the locals do..Not there is anything wrong with that. They have been doing it for centuries so why stop now.

All you have to do is visit the lookout point across the street from the Shark Cave and you will find discarded Heineken containers and broken glass. Some might even find 50 lbs. of dog food and a water container put there to feed the mongooses.

I think certain people who live in the Islands muddy up the terrain in hopes that it will keep new americans from moving into their hood. They would rather live amongst rubbish then have a..........
