My father acquired his US citizen because of his service during World War II. He applied for the Filipino veterans equity fund, but was denied because his name was not listed on the Missouri List. The INS granted him citizenship because he was able to provide proof of service. We will appeal the denial, but we don't know how to start. Does anyone has the same experience, and how did you go about this? Thank you. Natividad

Arnie has passed laws helping pinoy veterans.Have you tried going to a military base and seek help there?

My father is in the Philippines right now, he is 86 and the travel may be too much for him, plus the cost. I would like to find out if there were any veterans who were initially declined were able to get approval when they appealed their case. I hope someone can share their experience with the appeal process. Thank you.
