I heard the fool on tv last night seeming to think we will believe this will beautify Waipahu and it is a good thing for this community.
Areas around any transit project like this become SLUMS.
Don't know what metro developments you're siting for your example but from what I've seen in DC, NY, SF, and elsewhere it's the exact opposite of what you claim. Also, when was the last time you've been to Waipahu? That place been a dump for the last 30 years and mostly still is.

Folks in Waipahu don't want the ugly, noisy, horrible looking rail. I do not blame them. None of us do.
Maybe they just want ugly noisy modified hotrods and early morning loud chickens.

Must be all about Mufis' Marketing Team composed of his friends in the construction field. I don't stand a chance against his "machine". Mufi's "machine" will eat us taxpayers alive.

Glad to hear you're still alive, most of us are near-dead from greedy CEOs and Wall Street having ripped us off. By the way, CA taxpayers have approved several raill and mass transit projects, Seattle just approved $17.8 bond measure for extension of their system, and DC is working on extending their system up north. Ones with rail systems have found out what a great thing it is and what a great thing it is for the FUTURE. Too bad so many here thinks "good old days" means being stuck in a perverse "caveman" mentality.

I feel sorry for Waipahu. Their community will be destroyed by the hideous and noisy rail.

True joe..but this rail nightmare will hang around for 30 years. It will neevr be built right and millions will be wasted or stolen. Just like the airport. Count on it.
