The kid really is obese. He must have hard times making and keeping friends in school and neighborhood. Someone's a bad parent. As you can tell from above, he is already a target of fat jokes.

NOT a Hero, stupid stupid stupid an idiotic decision that cost his own life. First of all, he broke company's policy by having a passenger. Second, if the boy wasn't there the uncle would of still been alive even if the truck flipped, he would of have his own safety belt. If the family tries to sue the company they won't win. Seriously, this chunky kid needs to go on a diet.
Did you see the truck? Belt or no belt his side was smashed! Fox's wife should sue..for the malfunction of the truck..which caused the accident!

And you people telling fat jokes all must be perfect, yet you are adults?!!
You probably smoke, drink, eat junk food, and speed when you drive.

Sue? We don't know what caused the accident... If it was driver error should the company sue the family for the cost of the truck? If you loan your car to someone and they wreck it should they immediately sue you or would you want an investigation? Sounds stupid but no more then the knee-jerk statement to sue the trucking company prior to the investigation...

Wow.."uncle loves you" as he covers the boy to protect him from the crash. Now I'm crying at my office at 9:30 in the morning.

I suppose one could call the Uncle a "hero", although he's the one who put the child's life in jeopardy in the first place. Kids have no business going for joy rides in those types of trucks.
Please; it wasn't a "joy ride" in the sense that he was simply joining his uncle for a delivery trip. yes, tragic and unfortunate, but hardly CRIMINAL INTENT. I feel for family and friends. This man is a hero despite any shortcomings otherwise for, in his last act and seconds of life he chose to give his in an attempt to save another. He even had the presence of mind to say "Uncle loves you" milliseconds to impact. Hmmmmm, sounds familiar to yet another global, iconic HEro in many peoples minds. Question is, would you or are you willing to do the same during similar circumstances? If not, stop Thursday morning quarterbacking.

Hmmmm lets see.....Diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, lack of exercise.
...and your comments have WHAT to do with the accident at hand? That's right, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

Did the thought ever cross any of the neagative jerks minds posting here that the boy might just be a very happy individual, obviously LOVED for who he is, and might just have a large number of friends and people who care about him? And yes, perhaps a GENETIC reason for his present physical condition? This is NOT the forum for his medical discussions, but for responding to the fatal accident at hand and for his beloved "Uncle". I digress and apologize as I've read enuff ignorant posts here and now join those who even bother to address the boy's physical condition at the moment---but I felt enough to defend him. Geez, get with it people!

Wow! Some Big Hero! The driver, "beloved Uncle" was legally drunk at the time of the accident! He had a blood alcohol level of 0.313, "four times" the legal limit of 0.08 for operating a vehicle. So before you do your Thursday morning quarterbacking, climb down from yur almighty "high rise" crows nest and get your story straight.
So my question to you is.....would you do the same during similar circumstances?
