So, who wants to die in a nuclear war?

Who wants to either:

a) burn to death
or
b) die from one of a variety of radiation-induced cancers?

Is it any wonder the Republicans wanted her gagged?

***MORE IMPORTANTLY***

What does this say about McCain's judgment in selecting a proper candidate for a position?

Let's say you have "won".

You lobbed your missiles, and all your loved ones are dead.

How does this bring life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness (the American Dream) to them?

Bummer.

Anyone interested in what Palin might lead us to, type in "Threads 1984" into YouTube's search engine.

The movie is in 13 parts. Part 6 is the attack, but it is worth seeing the whole thing, to see the effects on health, reproduction abilities, and even language.

The bottom line is that there is no future should full scale nuclear war occur.

It's an eye opener.

McCain's Health Care Tax Increase

A new rule here: Rather than do the McCain campaign's bidding by wasting space on Senator Honor's daily lies and bilge--his constant attempts to divert attention from substantive issues--I'm going to assume that others will spend more than enough time on the sewage that Steve Schmidt is shoveling and, from now on, try to stick to the issues.

Today's issue: health insurance. John McCain wants to tax your employer-provided health care benefits. He wants to replace those benefits with an insufficient tax credit--$2500 for individuals and $5000 for families (the average cost per family for health insurance is $12000).

There is a positive, progressive tax aspect to this: wealthier people should have to pay for health insurance themselves, without tax breaks from the federal government.

But make no mistake: this plan will do little or nothing for those who do not have insurance now--unless they are young and healthy--and it may well hurt a fair number of workers, especially unionized workers, who get gold-plated benefits from their employers.

It will certainly do nothing for families with members who have pre-existing conditions or children with special needs--because it makes no provision to regulate the insurers, forcing them to cover all comers at "community" rates that don't discriminate against the people who need health insurance most.

It is amazing to me that Obama campaign has let things go this far without pointing out that McCain--who opposes the energy bill because it would increase taxes on oil companies--is actually proposing a tax increase on health care benefits for American workers. But that is precisely what the Senator from Arizona is doing.

Something about her scares me. People are just ga-ga over her and like her because she's attractive. If she wasn't very good looking or was heavy people would be like.. "ewwww" and would think she was a nut. It's all about the looks. It's really bizarre how this woman basically came out of nowhere and now is suddenly all over the place...and everyone is nuts over her. Talk about frightening. In fact this whole presidential race is downright scary in my opinion.

I would rather launch missiles at each other than throw a white flag to the commies. They invade a NATO member its war, no negotiating.

Damon: Palin choice absurd

Actor Matt Damon has nothing but harsh words for republican vice president clueless nominee Sarah Palin.

"I think the pick was made for a political stunt purposes, but in terms of governance , it's a serious disaster!" waiting to happen. Damon told the Associated press. there's a one out of chance or more that McCain doesn't survive his first term and it i'll be a very Incompetent President Palin.

Damon doesn't think Palin is experienced enough for the job; no way! no how. she was mayor of a small town and the governor of Alaska for just two years. She never had a passport until this year And never travel out side of Alaska until now.

it's like a Really, really Bad Disney nightmare movie gone wrong. Damon said. "like, I'm just a clueless hockey mom from alaska.' And if she's President?, god forbid! and she's facing down Vladamir Putin and China Using the Idiotic folksy stuff she learned at the hockey rink. it's totally absurd and outrageous. she will be the real threat to our national security and it will be the end of the world as we know. and i don't know why more People aren't talking about how absurd it is with this very incompetent, clueless, dangerous women who is a real threat to our national security.

Eisenhower (Republican President of the United States)- "I hate war as only a soldier who has lived it can, only as one who has seen its brutality, its futility, its stupidity"

So I guess death is preferrable to some form of compromise?

The fact that the Republicans trotted out Palin with the only consideration of being "eye candy", goes to show how little respect they hold for the average American.

This is reinforced when you consider that she thinks war is the first resort. We have already had HUNDREDS of years of war, and it is like choosing her is a step backwards.

Don't let this party soil our country further.

Do you think this administration will be any different?

Bush/Cheney had "canned" audiences.

Palin was told to not speak to the press, until the election.

Don't buy the hype.

Women...

Don't be fooled by gender.

Let's say she somehow becomes president and packs the Supreme Court to rule against abortion.

Can you predict from one day to the next if someone forcibly "has his way" with you?

What will you do?

If you choose to abort, you could go to jail.

You could get a "back alley" abortion, and possibly risk infection.

What will happen to your kids? Your husband? Your elderly parents?

Don't you find it insulting that McCain chose a woman, expecting that her gender is the ONLY thing you will see, as you are duped out of yet another choice that should be YOURS?

Women...

If you decide to KEEP the baby, can you AFFORD to support it?

Don't listen to the unconvincing dribble about the economy being fine, because I can tell you that it is in REALLY BAD SHAPE. Look at the mortgage crisis - we will be paying for that. Fannie Mae, then Freddy Mac, then Lehman, the collapse continues.

These new "jobs" contain poverty-level pay, no benefits and hours that will keep you away from other obligations.

You will have trouble supporting yourself, much less another mouth to feed.

Like any THINKING individual, I do not condone violence against anyone.

The best way to avoid future conflict is to end our involvement in the Middle East, and the only way to do this is to develop autos that rely on electricity.

Have you ever noticed that the batteries in your cell phones, laptops, MP3 players, et cetera, have improved noticeably over the years?

Think of how far along the electric car could have improved in range and power, by that line of thinking?

Instead, through very underhanded tactics, the PURELY electric car is being held back to benefit the big oil companies.

Why go to war when the peaceful alternative is RIGHT HERE?

In the documentary, "Who Killed the Electric Car?", one oil advocate actually suggested that no one should even THINK about developing an electric car in the future.

Just about every single electric car was destroyed. What do they have to hide?

What arrogance! Do you want others to actually THINK for you? Don't you find this insulting?

I would rather die than show weakness and surrender.

No compromise, what can't you understand about the NATO agreement? Its to protect its members, not sit back and negotiate and compromise when a member gets invaded. You strike hard and fast.

You are just a coward, We Americans will lay down our lives in defense of liberty and democracy around the world.

And you're just an idiot.

If Russia established Canada as a member of the Warsaw Pact, how well would that sit with you?

Do you really think the Russians are so stupid as to not see what's going on, especially when it's in their backyard?

When the Voice of America prompted the Hungarians to rise up and overthrow the Soviets in 1956, where were the Americans? NOWHERE TO BE FOUND.

So much for your BS.

Putin must be having a good laugh at how Bush's violations of sovereignty were used against him.

Bush has no moral ground to stand on.
