What of these Indians in the North America? Illegal Citizen of the U.S.of America? Hawaiian/Haoles businessmen of the Old "BIG 5" cheated the Hawaii People, Hawaiian/Kamehameha continues to cheat it's own Hawaii People too, its never ending. 50+ years to get a house?! Kamehameha School PLEASE GIVE ALL HAWAIIANS the WORLDS GREATEST EDUCATION OPPORTUNITY even if the kids blood 1/100 percent, EDUCATE everyone, born and raised in Hawaii! 1/100 percent Hawaiian, fix the lands and Build every Hawaiian a House. Billions of Dollars to watch all HAwaiian Family Suffer.
That's not Kamehameha Schools kuleana to educate every Hawaiian. No Hawaiian should "expect" any handout. If you want to live a decent life and your kids to have a private education, you yourself needs to be educated, have a good job or better yet have your own business and pay your way through life!

The spouse isn't "kicked out" if the Hawaiian spouse dies. A lot of people are still on the list waiting because they aren't qualified for a home loan. If you're expecting a free ride, forget it. That's what is wrong with many people that never get picked. There are many vacant homes on Hawaiian Homestead land, lying vacant, simply because the people on the list don't want to live in a certain area and are waiting for a vacancy somewhere else, or know their **** relatives simply want to move in with them, mooch off them, not pay any bills, and ruin a good thing. One more reason is that a lot of people find they can't turn around and quickly .ell it for a profit, Myself, I think Hawaiian Homesteads is the greatest thing since sliced bread but many don't appreciate the opportunity, are simply greedy, or have the ghetto attitude and are best left in Kalihi or Waipahu. My one complaint would be that a few people living in Hawaiian Homesteads are not the people that applied, rather they are the **** relatives that think it's an Indian reservation where they can do all sorts of crimes like running chicken fights and selling dope, without consequence.

Alice and I agree on this subject. How scary!
Alice, if you married a Hawaiian man who was 50% "Hawaiian" and you were living on Hawaiian Homelands, and your "Hawaiian" husband died, you and your children would be evicted because you are haole and your kids are less than 50% "Hawaiian".
How unjust would this situation be if you were 80 years old and you had no where to live after you were evicted only because you were non-Hawaiian?
This is government sanctioned RACISM!
Is that kinda like the racism of getting beatings in school for speaking your own language? Being told your culture and religion have no place in this modern world. Or not being able to vote in your own country because you didn't meet a property requirement? Or having your Nation taken away because they wanted your country for their Imperial agendas? That kind of racism? Japanese run Japan. Chinese run China. Vietnamese run Vietnam. But americans run Hawaii. Hhmmm.

All you people spouting "misinformation" about Hawaiian Homes all need to get educated. Where are the vacant homes at? Who are the bum relatives? If you have proof to these accusations, you should take yourself into the big new office of DHHL in Kapolei and report these people. Hawaiian Homes leases are pretty specific that the home needs to be the primary residence of the leasee. I am on the waiting list and so are many of my siblings. If there are empty homes, let me know where they are, I would gladly move back home to Hawaii.

What is the requirements to continue living on homestead land? My friend mom, husband who passed away a few years ago, is still living in the house. She does not have any hawaiian blood at all. Can she live there legally?

HHL is illegal. No race discrimination is allowed under the FHA. Give land and homes to those in need whether Micronesian, haole, Samoan or whatever. Race discrimination has spoiled Hawaiians and made them inept and lazy. They need to compete just as eevryone else does. No more race discrimination! hawaii is haunted by it.
Another ignorant Non-HAwaiian that don't know what they are talking about. If you are going to comment, get the facts first!!!

You must not be Hawaiian. I think you should read the history of Hawaii before you speak, then you might know exactly what happened.. and maybe you may have a different opinion.
