Mahalo for taking your vacation back home in these Islands.

Your visit not only boosted the Island People as a whole, it should--no doubt--boost our visiting tourist rate, their spending, and our local economy as well.

Voted for McCain.

Do you really think McCain would have ever gone to Hawaii for the holidays, when he can easily soak in the sun with his hot wife in Arizona?

Eventually everyone of these VIP people make there way to Hawaii. McCain's hot wife would be nice to look at in a bikini. Hawaii has so many babes in swimsuits its just another scantily dressed women enjoying the sun. Ain't no big ting.

Nope, McCain wouldn't have been so over-indulgent. He would have stayed low key and not spent the money Obama spent for such a vacation. Very good point. Obama is wasting our tax money.

Ironically, McSame & wife Cindy met in Honolulu.

And, of course McSame was married to another woman when he met Cindy in Waikiki. So, he did what any self-respecting Conservative would do: He divorced his wife, ditched her and his own children to go and be with Cindy (or as I like to call her; Robot)

He should have gone back to Washington after the undie bombers attempt at downing an airliner. That is hope and change we can believe in.

Wow. I guess the fact that Barry is leaving tonight put an end to the SB moderator black out on Obama threads.

Come on kids. What were you afraid of?

By the way. Barry, the President and the politician, has been in Hawaii for what, 10 days now? And except for a few forced waves to people behind yellow tape or people who lived 5 feet from his golf tee, has he acknowledged his "fellow locals" yet?

No?

Hmmmm.

How about Michelle. Have you noticed she only comes out of the million dollar compounds to eat at high makamaka establishments or go to secure private beaches and military bases? She's done that from the beginning.

Michelle has never gone on a shave ice trip.
She didn't even go with Barry and his kids to visit his dying grandmother on that one trip before the election.

But watch her if they film her heading up the steps of Air Force One. She will literally do a sprint up the stairs leaving Barry behind.

Funny. When they were camplaining, both loved to talk to people, give speeches, tell crowds what they wanted to hear. But not in Hawaii.

You know, Bush didn't really travel with "friends". Something a little juvenile about a President who needs to travel with friends. But I'm sure Bush's friends were mostly white.

Have you noticed that Barry's traveling squad, the man who is supposedly "post-racial", the man who was going to end racism and ethnic problems in America? Have you noticed that he is traveling with mostly blacks?

Nope. Barry is giving Hawaii the big invisible ignore that he got growing up.

Now everyone wants to jump in on the name Obama game.Even the ice cream stand where he went could be on that list. Can you imagine fifty places on O'ahu named after our great Obama? A little redundant?

People from Chicago have said they weren't even aware Obama had a Hawaii connection. Does anyone remember him vacationing while he was a Senator? It is interesting that he has a Hawaii connection now. The true test will be AFTER he is President. Will he still come here? Will he buy a home here? Probably not. Whose the most famous person on Oahu? Gomer Pyle? That Ebay guy? Who really cares? Since Obama apparently needs to have the complete run of things when he visits, he should really consider visiting a neighbor island like Lanai where it would be much easier to "get away from it all."

yep. I'm not a "birther" but I have only 2 possible explanations for this.

1) He really wasn't born in Hawaii and needs to give his adoring media an opportunity to repeat the phrase "in Honolulu, where Obama was born" a few million times.

or

2) He really has a subconscious psychological need to get a little revenge on the mostly Asians and Haole who completely ignored him growing up. He's giving them the treatment he received as kid. Remember, it is worse to be totally ignored than it is to be treated rudely. Damage has been done.

Other than these, there is no reason that he would all of the sudden become a "Hawaii local". His name was changed to Barrack after he left Hawaii for good. He moved into black Chicago neighborhoods, worked for black organizations like Acorn, went to black churches, made black friends, ran for office in black areas, married a black wife and had black friends.

Nothing wrong with any of that. But it surely doesn't tell the tale of thy typical so called "local".

Interesting.

The man and his family is on vacation and it sounds like they all have had a great time.

Only seven more years to go, do not know why anyone would want the position of President of the United States.

We should all keep up with the Supreme Court as it finally will tell us where the O'B REALLY was born. Maybe Hawaii won't have to consider him a "native son" and, won't it be fun to have Joe Biden as president? The rest of us will just go on with our lives and watch the ever evolving D.C. soap opera.

Although I don't agree with Obama's politics, I have to admire his "common man" approach to his vacations. More power to Hawaii!
Just don't let the leaders change school names other than the ones he attended.

Martin Turow...neither did the lolo people of Hawaii...before 2007. It was so irritating when people I know back in Hawaii asked if I was going to vote for him...I said Hell NO!!! and their idiocy reponse was simply: "How come, he's a local boy"....
I was like WHAT??? I tell you, talk about freckin' uneducated, unawair, and so ill informed....(scratching my head) I just don't get it Hawaii....guess their brains in their Okole...(means the body part where the sun don't shine)...Ai' sos!! I tell you, Hawaii people are the last people that should be voting....they wouldn't know the difference....

As an islander I am so pleased that our president continues to have that piece of the island spirit that remains with us who have chosen to live elsewhere. And that shave ice---oh man!!!
