Gas prices hit a new high again in Hawaii

Apr 8, 2012 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: The Honolulu Advertiser

The average price of regular, unleaded gas in Hawaii set another record today at $4.611 a gallon, largely because of a spike in the price of gas in Wailuku.

Does anyone remember when Mr Bush was president, the prices went to about $3.60 and he said he would open the strategic reserves, and the prices immediately fell to about $2.00?

The almighty holiness obama is playing politics with your money. He could easily do the same, but will wait till it's closer to election so you'll want to thank him with a vote.

Obama is nearing his goal of $10 a gallon gasoline by Christmas. His muslim buddies are happy, the democrats are happy, and all of us evil gas-wasters in our evil SUV's are going to be riding bicycles and burros before long, unless you are one of the liberal-elite.

The good thing to take from all this is the population has experienced an obvious wrong style to run a country. The next person will be near hero status for being able to fix obamas fu ckups and get the USA back on sound footing. Thenonce again we will hold a prestigious spot on the world stage. There's nothing wrong with that.

Las vegas bookies have Obama 5 to 1 odds to win in November. Since you are a Republican birther that claims he will be ousted for being a illegal alien, and the American voters will reject him why don't you go over there and bet? All you have to do is bet $1 and you get $5 back if your man Romneys wins. Heres you chance to make big bucks if you think Obama will be defeated.

Not a bad idea. 10K gets 50K. Wonder how the odds will change in September.

So Jack, are you better of now than 3 1/2 years ago? Do you think obama is good for the US? He seems to be the great divider, not a uniter.

Go lay your money down Big Bone Boy. These Las vegas oddsmakers must know some stuff to set odds that high for Obama. Me I am not a gambling man but I suspect something strange in these bookies that make me think twice about the odds for a Republican candidate winner.

Obama could very well win it. He's got half the country on welfare already, with the other half wanting it. We're about the same economic status as Italy these days, and the muslims are taking over most of Europe. What's not to like about Obama?

I'm not a gambler either and I see what you're saying. They don't usually play big unless they have a reason to be that confident.

I'd gladly give up 10K for obama to loose, but I know it don't work that way. I'd even give up 100K.

I have confidence in the voting population. Kids just like mine, who just finished college and have absolutely no prospects of a job unless the parent have room in their business are dissatisfied.

That voting sector will be the difference. Many could not or did not vote in 08 and they can and will now. I just can't see anyone willing to give up 50% of what they earn and give it to those who prefer to not work. I'm not talking about those who can't, just those who prefer to not work.

Yes it's unfortunate but possible he could win. But I refuse to think half the population wants to be on welfare. I don't want it and I damn sure don't need it. I've earned what I have and don't mind saying it. And I'm not shy about sharing either.

As for any religious group suddenly becoming popular, I don't care. What concerns me more is the Islam and sharia that usually follows.

As with any religion, there are extremists. Christianity, Catholicism, Islam, Hindu, Buddhism, Jews, and Atheists all have seen extremists on the fringe professing absolute conformity. Wars have been fought, entire nations have collapsed because of religion.

What the extremists have done is remove the civility from our debates and also spilled over into political process. That's where America has an advantage. We were smart enough to separate it in writing at the start of our nation. It's up to us to prove it still means something in November.

You forgot to write at the end, "...and nobody likes me, I wish that I could be popular, can anyone help?"

My response would be:

Dear Joe Balls,

In these days of cyberbullying and general overal cruelty in a bigoted and vicious world, I wish you and your friends well. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Just because you are constantly berating people that are not like you does not mean that others should set the example of retaliation and liken themselves to your motives or cause.

I hope that you are happy with yourself when you look into the mirror or venture out to seek others like yourself be it on the internet or out in public.

After reading this, I will give you some time to consider what it is that I have said, and then I am going to tell you a little something about yourself that you and the others might find interesting.

The way people drive you would think gas is free. Driving gas guzzlers fast and furious and waiting in line in the drive thru with motors running does not help conserve this precious resource or slow down the pollution of our planet. I hope gas goes to $20 a gallon.

Big deal on an island. It's not like we have to drive hundreds of miles to get anywhere.

Simple fix, make one trip instead of two or three. I would take the bus before I would get on the road in one of those fuel efficient mini cars.

Las Vegas bookies had Tiger Woods a 1 to 3 favorite to win the Masters. You bet 3 you win 1, can't get anymore favorite than that.
