Petty politics over prison - Hawaii Editorials

Full story: Honolulu Star-Bulletin

Gov. Linda Lingle was wrong to shelve plans for a new prison complex on Maui because she was peeved by the public opposition of one Valley Isle legislator.

Huh? Why is it always 'her way or the highway?'
Did you even read the article? Lingle wanted to build a prison. Senator Tsutsui was opposed to it. The Senator got his way. So why are you complaining about Lingle? When it comes to schooling you must have been the child who got left behind.

All of her actions by design are made to support Corrections Corporation of America and other priviteers.
Here's another lackwit who apparently did not have the reading comprehension skills necessary to understand the article. How does wanting to build a prison in Hawaii and bringing inmates back from the mainland support Corrections Corporation of America? Building a state run prison would be just the opposite of supporting a private prison. And, by the way, you misspelled "privateers."

The fact is that now there are going to be two less prisons in Hawaii, the one she closed and the one she cancelled. Who cares what was or was not spelled correctly. You my friend would rather resort to name calling and spellchecking then to argue the facts of the actions by a governor hellbent on destroying lives.
