In a time of dire need, it's great to see the local residents come forward and contribute to such a worthy cause.

I can't believe what I'm reading!
So, basically you are saying that rather than send their hard-earned money home to support their families in China, they should donate their money to the lazy-ass locals here???
How dumb is that?

Come here and take our jobs?
Don't support anyone but their own kind?
Sending money to their home country instead of investing it here in the US economy?
Sounds like you are talking about the Filipinos, not so much the Chinese....

It's ok to help other counties, but where were the other counties when we needed help during the Katria crises?

We give so much foreign aid every year and we do not get appreciated. It's time to take care of Americans first.

the topic was how the chinese people here are opening their wallets to help the earthquake victims. leave it to a local to put them down--always putting your hand out: "where's my share?"
i think it is great for the chinese community here to help those people in china. get a clue, violet. and a job. don't always be looking for a handout!!

FYI---> over 60 countries offered aid to the US following Hurricane Katrina:

Afghanistan, Australia, Austria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Belgium, Canada, China, Columbia, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, Germany, Guatemala, Greece, Guyana, Honduras, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Jordan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Paraguay, Philippines, Portugal, South Korea, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, and Venezuela.

Even countries that are VERY poor offered token amounts (a few thousand dollars) to show their support.

People like you are lazy. You live in a first world nation and you cannot even articulate yourself in English correctly. What the hell have you been doing for the past 12 years in public school?

People like you are offensive. You live in the best state in America and you cannot even express yourself without insulting others or using rude names to post under.

The answer to this question is: The Chinese are not in the least upset by this. It is the outsiders looking in that are upset. The Chinese government could really give a rip. The only reason they would care is because they lost some potential child labor victims in the upcoming years. You can bet that if the $$$ aid is being given to the Chinese regime, none of it will really get to these people!!!

I lived in China for 7 years. If you have never been there, you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.
