Maybe the problem stems down from the govt, school
admin, law enforcement & the parents of the trouble
makers. No one wants to admit to a problem, life
goes on as it did 50 years ago in Hawaii. Out of site,
out of mind. No problem now.

The five students should be prosecuted under the hate crime law to the fullest extent of the law. Just denying them to walk during graduation is a joke. They should not only be suspended but their diplomas should be held up until they complete a summer school class on racial diversity and is mandated to do community service working with a diverse group of individuals esp. the blacks.. These students and their parents definitely should be severely reprimanded and anything less than that would be a joke in the eyes of the infraction committed.

Please don't say that these are innocent minors and the punishment should be light because they misunderstood the severity of their actions. THAT WOULD BE A CROCK!!

These idiots, I repeat IDIOTS, knew precisely what they were doing and therefore, should be admonished, reprimanded, and punished to the full extent of the law.

NOTHING MORE..NOTHING LESS!!!!
Isn’t that the “norm” in Hawaii, or am I thinking of some other racist place I grew up as a white boy, nope I’m sure it was there.

You don’t know much about the “real history” of Hawaii, racism against haole’s is nothing new and has been going on since day one, it does not make it right, the adults in the school should be held accountable accordingly, it’s a way of life with many of the youths. I grew up there as a white boy 50 years ago when kill haole day, the last day off the school year was a real thing. It is ingrained in the culture, ignored by the administration and swept under the rug by the politicians & law enforcement. That’s the way it is & was in the “good old days”. Word

Ummm, sorry to dispute YOUR racist generalization but not all of the students that held up the signs were Hawaiian. Some of them live in the million dollar custom homes in the gated community in Makaha Valley.
Indeed, the house that looks like a starwars spaceship must be owned by a Hollywierd type.

Nice little houses but not on water detracts from the value.

LOL, I know a guy that bought in Makaha in the eighties. Nice place, right up until a recent mainland transplant arrived and built a huge multi-story home in front of his and blocked his scenic ocean view. He wants to sell, but just found he has lost over 200K on his appraised value because his scenic panoramic view is now of the new neighbor's garage instead of the beautiful ocean view he had before. What a kick in the nuts. He's already moved to another location closer to the ocean, but he's still pissed. I can't feel sorry for him because we warned him this was coming twenty years ago. So people, watch your elected people that will change your zoning for a fast buck. They don't care who they hurt as long as it's not in their own area.

It's all about location. Unless you are on the shoreline your view might go away.

Got ya. Right now I have an ocean view, but my neighbor told me a few months ago that his daughter wants to build a second floor on their house. So much for my view. Oh Well

BFD Ocean views are easily had by many morons.
Now living where you can hear the waves crashing on the shore is the plan.

When Joe's wife and tall mahu's brahs cross his path he loses his mind and his view. ha ha
