After hearing over six hours of public testimony overwhelmingly against it, the City Council passed Bill 50, which will rezone 97 acres of farmland in the Lualualei Valley to allow its development into an industrial park.

Our representative sure listen to the public, don't they? Throw the farmers that feed us off their farms, and steal prime ag land for their millionaire buddies to cement over.

Yes, I agree, but what are you DOING about it? Are you writing letters, protesting, supporting the farms? We must DO not simply complain.

Actually, I hadn't heard a thing about it until after it was a done deal. That's how things are done in this state. The real power-brokers (old Japanese) dictate to the politicians and unions how they want things to go, the politicians make it happen, and soon after, those same politicians exit politics and reappear as "consultants" for those same old men, making million-dollar salaries. You just watch and see if I'm not proven correct. No-one wants to admit Hawaii's dirty little secret, but there it is. And as long as they can keep the Hawaiians hating the whites and blaming them for everything, it will continue.
