It's great that Abercrombie has said he's bringing our men and women home to Hawai'i...it falls short of saying, "bring them ALL home" is what we,(Hawaiians) want who knows our history, can translate the Great Mahele, understands and follows Hawaiian Kingdom laws, are cultural practitioners, farmers and fisher people with the knowledge to help heal our people and begin down sizing putting people in prisons, until there is no need for prisons. That's our goals.

We are the People's Prison Task Force with a community plan and project to reduce the recidivism of people going to prisons, Waimanalo can be that place to monitor and work on ways to give our people the tools they need to strengthen themselves and their families, from living to die in prisons.

The State of Hawai'i made a big mistake by sending our people out of Hawai'i to America to be chum for the CCA (Corrections Corproation of America) and their stockholders to make $$$$$$$$ nothing else. We know this by looking at the years this prison system in Hawai'i have been a failure where the recidivism of Hawaiians are the highest...why? Because, they have money which the State taps but years ago decided to buy into the lies of the CCA, that the State would save money...another lie.

Now the Dept. of Public Safety executive director Jobie Myata is fighting for the jobs of her deputies and she should fight harder to make sure ALL of these men and women come home and that she look at all the lands on all islands with programs that practices our culture, education, training and jobs in the end to care for their families and to be a positive example in their own community for the younger generation to learn from.

My brother died in the Arizon Tucson prison on January 29th at the Puma County hospital, a federal prison with the lowest educational level of understanding people's culture in order to feed them right on all levels. If there is anybody out there with information or what we can do to find out what happened that he had to leave his cell and go to the hospital? Then, when he "slipped" into a comma, it took tha prison 8 days to find a friend or family member..."to pull the plug" THEN, they found somebody to do their spiritual dirty work, they knew they would be held accountable for if they didn't find somebody.

Preliminary research and investigation was done but more professional help is needed to secure my brother's records; l.) Central File and, 2.) Medical File. My brother was Bal Hinano Kanui, born on July 16, 1953-died on January 29th, 2011. He was the fifth child born to Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Maluhia Kanui, of Waimanalo, Hawai'i. On April 9th we held a Celebration of Life for him at Kaiona Beach park where the family and many of his friends came out to pay their respects and to assist the family in their time of need. Like many Hawaiians Bal came from Kings, Queens, Chiefs and the Makaainana who was in the wrong place at the wrong time, used as a scapegoat for the State to begin writing laws into their system that would protect tourist and tourism. My brother was sentenced to 55 years, for accessory and knowing something. He was a smiler, soft spoken and such a beautiful person...he has on daughter, KaualanaNapua Wahiikaahuula Cabuag Dudoi and her daughter Lilly Pualilia Dudoit.

Mahalo to Paul Marquez and those who helped him make our event a very memorable one especially the food, old friends, gifts of limu and eating fresh frish fried till golden brown in a huge wok was so awesome and we also want to thank many family members who came; Aunty Jenny Kaholi/Doe/Ben and Seriaco who came to represent, cousin Rosemarie and her daughter Noelani Arista and her two beautiful babies.

Consider giving us a meeting to make our oral, written and rendering of our project that would involve preparing the way for the uniting of the pa'ahao with their 'ohana for a self-ho'oponopono considering to heal the family mo'okuauhau, up till today...this second to heal.
