Lived in Waianae (Uluwehi) and saw alot of really good kids. Many spent their time training for their selected sports, others for full contact competition.
The SB should show fair and balance news by covering many of these positive youths on the westside.
Flaming the emotions of ignorant stereotype people is unfair to the good people on the Waianae coast!
But if you want to go down that path, rest assured they can definitely take care of themselves.

I lived and grew up in Waianae. I know first hand the kind of potential that is there. My family has spent many years building it up as well. It never fails that the media continues to use Waianae as their straw man to get attention and otherwise divert attention away from other problem areas. Literally, Waianae gets dumped on from every other part of Oahu. Been like that since I can remember. I may make a joke or two about Waianae, but I am allowed to do that since I have enough of a sense of humor to be able to poke fun at myself and my home town. However, I am truly sick and tired of having people who need a check up from the neck up making all kinds of negative comments. Get your facts right and remember that you had better clean your own yard before criticizing someone else's yard.
