""He's no Bryson Apo. He's definitely no Kevin Brunn," said Robert Prasser, retired HPD assistant chief, who spoke on behalf of Miram in court, explaining that Miram's culpability was not as bad as the other officers'."

The line is pretty clear between enforcing the laws and breaking them. All of them crossed over. Good riddance.

Only 50 consecutive weekends. This for aiding in a racketeering operation.

How is he less culpable than the others.
And it's more likely he sold out his fellow officers for money rather than because he was mad at his supervisor. Weak.

what the kcuf is this I've never heard of someone being only a little guilty, you're either guilty or not.
Also talk about being a double RAT, first ratting out HPD and then ratting out the cockfighters.
this guy is dirtier than poop, he only thinks of his own a$$, better watch out now coz someone is gonna tax that a$$ when he gets to the PMITA prison.

Leave it to Prasser to screw things up in his attempt to help.

This moron is a disgrace to the uniform and makes any good cop out there look bad. He, and the other morons like him, as well as others on the force engaging in illegal activities but not yet caught, just as disgusting. And people wonder why the average person has little to no trust for cops here in Hawaii.

Some judges just don't get it! 50 WEEKENDS, whats a person to do during the week work the over time watching construction. A dirty cop is a dirty cop. I still say have em work the highways cutting grass and digging ditches with signs on their backs clamming the offenses they're guilty of. 50 weekends what a joke. 100 days in jail for obstruction, where's the monies they all made?

That's like saying "He's just guilty with a little "g", not a BIG G.

He betrayed his badge and the trust the public placed on him. Also made the rest of good cops look bad. No sympathy for him. What a disgrace.

It wasn't his fault, he was upset with his supervisor so he tipped off the other cops to the pending raid on the cockfighting operation. Bogus excuse.

Yeah, where's all the money they made? They should be made to account for that. IRS, check this out.

Three down, how many to go? Who is tipping off the guys in Waianae Homestead? They run derbies all the time, out in the open, and so far all's I've seen is a cop shaking hands with one of the cockfighters. Nice to see at least some of the crooked cops busted.
