Maybe Mufi should "share his wealth" and give some to these storm damaged TAXPAYERS. After all, he spent millions of taxpayers money to promote his "rail", why can't he "spread the wealth" around???
Or he is only looking to use the plight of others to promote himself, again?
What is he going to do to the ones responsible for building the county leeves that overflowed and flooded some homes? He's the boss and don't give another excuse that its a freak of nature and blame god for it or because of some "100 year" flood event.

$2.7 million is about how much he and the local unions spent on pro-rail propaganda in the last few months to push, shove, force and convince locals on Oahu we must build this flawed multi-billion dollar rail system.
Those funds sure could have come in handy now....What a waste of time and money- Auwe Pilau!

Was nice for Mufi to ride around in a big white truck saying he's sorry and hugging people. I was touched. Would be even nicer if he would back down on rail so we could get our highways and bridges fixed. Nicer yet if he would bring our sewer systems and waterways up to modern standards. Nicer still if he would curb cheap development and all the pollution and runoff it causes down slope.

Lot of poo went into the water thanks to deferred sewer maintenance. Better use for taxes than a choo choo to nowhere.

Mufi, Mufi, Mufi, what about Linda Lingle isn't she the Governor of this State, doesn't she have a say, at least Mufi is out there visiting people and seeing first hand what the storm did, most of the flood victims live in low lying areas and by streams anyway,(duh) of course going flood when it rains!
The rail plan was out during the earthquake and nobody said nuttin! and now boo-hoo. Don't blame the rail or Mufi for years of neglect by polititians before him, he has done a lot and will continue as our next REAL Governor,(yup I said GOV)

Actually, it is reported in another story that Governor Lingle signed a disaster declaration for the counties of Kauai, Maui and Honolulu on Friday Dec. 12 allowing us to seek federal aid and wrote to the SBA on Friday for aid, as well. Mufi did not visit nor request aid until Saturday Dec. 13, more than 24 hours after Linda Lingle. Mahalo Governor Lingle for your prompt response. Mufi, what took you so long?

Just spent 2 hours "suckin em up" off my aunt's cellar floor after way more rain (and ice) in New England. Bend over and work...works wonders. Aloha.
