I am amazed at all of you people who claim to "know" everything about a person. Speaking of proof, what proof or evidence do any of you have of anything "scandalous" about her personal life. All I have read is, "I heard," "My mom says," "I know her well," "I have seen her in action," What have you seen? Was she caught with her pants down in the city office, in someone's bed? Doing some other types of scandalous things? To ruin a person's reputation on an anonymous public forum based on rumors and gossip is reprehensible non-defensible behavior. Who started these rumors? Could it be the ex-husband wanting to make her look bad in the divorce? Or someone who doesn't like her because she shut off their water, or impounded their dog, etc?

Have you seen her in action? Who is it that is getting grants for your community and getting donations so you can have a concession stand, outfield fence, new scoreboard, new playground equipment, etc. at YOUR park? Trees to replace those destroyed in the tornado and scrap tire grants? Speaking of the tornado who did you see at the shelter running around managing volunteers talking on two phones at once trying to help you get YOUR town back together? Who donates their time every clean up day evry year since she has worked for the town to help get rid of YOUR garbage?

Who has chaired the community celebration committee of YOUR town? Who goes on numerous fire and rescue calls helping to save YOUR property and loved ones?

You all need to look into the mirror and look yourself in the eye and ask the question, "Can I live with myself knowing what I am doing to another human being, based on rumors and gossip?"

All I can say is I hope no one ever hates me this much or has such a small mind that they get their jollies ruining someone's life.

It appears to me that Ceresco Welcome Wagon is on the right track. These people need you to keep them straight!

Enough is Enough has finally asked the most pertinent question of all...WHO SAYS? Anyone can type anything on an anonymous forum like this. That doesn't make it true. Where is the evidence? Dates,names,places, times...pictures would be good. Shouldn't be a problem as some you must be stalking the poor woman to "know" that she is "drunk or drinking most of the time" and "constantly with other men."

That does raise a question though. If she is working and volunteering and helping the community as much as we are learning now, how does she have time for all of this drunken debauchery? She must be Wonder Woman!

Ceresco Native has made some valid points, but he/she must be tied to the city board somehow as there seems to be some damage control going on there. You are looking for proof of professional misconduct, but why don't you feel the same is necessary before you judge her on the basis of rumors about her personal life?

The rest of the blogging here is just trash talk. That is really where all of this slam fest blog should end up anyway, in the garbage.

Just one more question for all of you concerned, morally upright and saintly citizens. How many of you go to church every week and sit demurely in your Sunday best appearing so pious and pristine listening to the Word of God and letting it go in one ear and out the other so you can jump on the internet during the week and continue this debacle? You are trying to ruin a person's life here people under the guise of being concerned of how your town looks? That is all BS!

"Judge not, lest you be judged." You are the people who should be ashamed of yourselves. Or for those of you who believe on a slightly different plane, what do you think karma will have in store for you??

But...for what its worth...my only ties to the current village leadership is that I know several board members and have actually attended board meetings to raise issues...I cant say I always agree with them, but, to allege some twisted coverup is almost as ridiculous as it is petty...

You people are going about this all wrong. Don't worry about all the gossip and personal crap. If you want to get something that you can go after the clerk, someone should contact the State Auditor and have the village books and finances audited. The finances and income during the July Ceresco days especially. I think this would be very interesting!!!

interesting comment ...only one flaw in that plan...the village doesn't do Ceresco days...a committee made up of local citizens run ceresco days..funds are completely separate from the village. While the state auditor has jurisdiction to look at the village books, he has no jurisdiction to look at the books of the Ceresco days committee since it is a private organization. Additionally, any investigation of the Ceresco Days organization would not achieve the purpose of this blog which quite evidently is a witch hunt to get rid of the clerk...any role the clerk played in the Ceresco Days committee was as a private citizen with nor more authority than any of the other 8-10 people on that committee. Allegations are just that...allegations, absent proof. Having a screwed up personal life doesnt make someone a criminal as is alleged in several of these posts...this is the same crowd that started the rumor that taxes were being raised and tried to convince all that the current board was acting behind their back...only to be made to look silly when taxes were not only not raised...but lowered to 2004 rates...If you have a solid argument, bring it....otherwise get a life

That mish mash of amateur legal garbage you just spouted doesn't make any sense. What does libel for being audited mean? Do you know the definition of libel? Libel is what most of the posters on this topic are guilty of. How ironic you used that word.

Do I understand MOW? Why, yes. Short word...means "cut the grass".

Just trying to point out that you might have meant to say "liable to be audited" instead of "libel to be audited". Are you really that dense? You don't have to answer that. I was using "sarcasm" - a form of humor meant to mock or ridicule.

I cannot believe you people! For those of you who haven't had enough of spewing this crap or don't have enough common sense to know when to stop, it may be beneficial to you to know that the Village's books and finances are audited every year. The Village budgets several thousand dollars for this. The audit is conducted by a professional certified accountant who then submits the annual audit report to the State Auditor for their review. Unless you think they are involved in this grand conspiracy too? You could request a copy at the city office and confess your malicious blogging while you are there. Or maybe you could get a new hobby, or maybe a life?

I suggest that if more people showed up at the Village Board meetings the board would take notice. Since most of the board meetings are boring, very few if any people show up. Usually the only citizens at board meetings are ones with something to bring before the board.
1. Go to the meetings, you don't have to say anything, just show up. Watch how the board is doing business. 2.Learn the laws that govern Village forms of government.
3. Start asking questions of the board members. Watch how uninformed they really are. Most of them rely solely on the clerk for all their answers. None of them will spend any time out of board meetings doing any research on the issues.
4. Get educated on the issues facing the village board.
5. Learn about Nebraska accountability laws. Ask the board if they have even heard of these laws.
6. Run for a position on the Village board.
7. Do not vote to re-instate the appointment of the Village Clerk. That's right, the Village Clerk is appointed by the Board, and serves at the will of the Chairperson.
8. Ask for full accountability of all Village financial records.
9. Stop taking the Village Clerks word for anything. Demand that the Clerk show you in writing her decisions. If you do not like or agree with the decision, demand to be on the agenda of the next Village Board meeting to discuss the item with the board.
I can personally speak to several issues regarding the Village Clerk and Village Board. This forum is not the place to do it. Just be aware... If you cross the Village Clerk and show how is inept at her job you will face the wrath of the clerk.
My personal feelings of the Village clerk on not important to anyone but me. She is a dispicable person, with no integrity or honesty. If you can figure out who I am, come knock on my door and I will tell you exactly what I am talking about.
