Ghosts of the McBride House

Full story: News on 6 Tulsa

Just up the street from historic Fort Gibson you'll find the McBride house. The house was built in 1895 and although it's now closed for a sorely needed renovation, it was once a magnificent showplace.

THIS BOOK IS WORTH PICKING UP!!! Everything that Cindy has written and said in this interview is without a doubt TRUE!!! I Myself have even seen one of them Myself, so do Yourself a favor and buy the book, and just read what the Back Family have been dealing with over their 25+ years dwelling in Dr. McBride's prized Home, that as She says, is not ready to leave...

I visited this house once and someone whispered in my ear. I turned around and it was my wife, but it was still scary.

I think Old Man McBride used his house as a meth lab back in the 1860's and all the ghosts are dead junkies coming back looking for a fix.

Billy Joe, you are funny. Dead junkies, he he.

Seriously, I think this woman had alot of guts to stay in that house for 25yrs. I don't care how peaceful they were; if it were me, I'd be hauling ass out the door the first time I heard it. I like the subject of haunings though. I think it would be great to get a job as a ghost hunter. It would be a cool and fun career. Just imagine your kid going back to school to tell about their experience at, "take your kid to work day". Does anyone know if ghosthunting pays well?

I truly enjoyed the book. I bought it today and could not put it down til I was done. I was captivated. Now I am determined to go and see this magnificent house for myself. I have had one ghostly encounter before and I am hoping to get a better one than I had.

The house is incredible. It really does need some love though. It's going to rot into the ground if somebody doesn't save it. Maybe money from the book can go into restoring the home.

The family has only been out of the house for two years? Why does it look like no one has lived there in 30 years?

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Pisces

Are you feeling fraught? It certainly seems that way, perhaps because you've got far too much on your plate and not nearly enough time to tackle it all. Do yourself a big favor and start with whatever is most urgent, otherwise you'll waste time by dithering or getting caught up in trivial tasks. Above all, don't get into a panic because that will squander valuable time and energy.
