Tribal members protest in S. Dakota over planned hog farm

Yankton Sioux tribal members worried about odor and health risks are protesting the construction of a large hog farm on private land surrounded by tribal land in south-central South Dakota.

this is not economic development this is economic genocide. Public meeting at wagner armoury by moss hog is not to be a friend. this is after the fact continued construction will resume tomorrow morning no matter what we say. if this is such a great deal and gov. rounds supports moss hog we will support a hog farm to be built in his back yard at the governors mansion. maybe he should run for office in Iowa because he don't care about south dakota citizens.

If it were any other person living next to a proposed pig farm, thay woud be doing the same thing. What about the ground water and the river that is down stream from there. Was a enviormental study done on the impact of a proposed farm in that area.

And we have the same problem in York County, PA. The proposed pig farm is quite close to Baltimore, MD. What's the answer, NOT IN MY BACKYARD. Do we want pork, beef, chicken etc. If so, where is it to be raised. Anywhere but close to MY HOME???
