Washoe Deputy Cleared of Wrongdoing in Shooting

A Washoe County Sheriff's Deputy has been cleared of any wrongdoing in the July shooting of a Wadsworth man.

My name is Sharla Florez. The man in this article Nigel Brandon Florez was my older brother. He was gunned down by a washoe county policeman on july 1 2005. This comment is for the jerk who took my brothers life. We'd just like to know why you had to think you were Mr. Sniper Bad ass and got trigger happy! Thanks to you we suffer each and every day for what you did. I hope you feel bad for the rest of your life, but cops like you have no heart so to you its probably just another job done. Its been 2 years since dennis carrey murdered my son . Iguess just because he has a badge it gives him the right to kill. Hes has killed 3 times before and will kill again.Nigel was no saint he was just hiding under the house .The gun was seen in the house before he was shot not in his hands. dennis carrey is a friend of the girls mother who accused him of assaulting her. The girl has a history of carrying weapons. Nigel was a very strong man and if he wanted to stop her from leaving he could of very easily done so. This is all bullshit .I miss my son avery day and it still feels like it happened yesterday.I feel for the family of dennis carreys next victim.I dont understand why the Pyramid Lake so called police dept. Couldnt handle a simple arrest . Nigel had never given them any cause to call the murder squad . If he would of been taken into custody by tribal police away from the house he would be here today.
