Wadsworth taxes - what do we have to show for it?

Our population is getting bigger.
Our subdivisions are growing.
Wadworth residents pay huge real estate taxes.
Our home values are going down.
Our money and our kids go to Gurnee.
Isn't it time we take charge and start our own school district.
If we have to pay so much, let's support our own neighborhood school district.
Maybe our home values will start going up again.
Think about it. Pass this along to Wadsworth residents and Village Hall.

Absolutely right. What's the basis for the high RE taxes here? Is it because Wadsworth houses are worth a lot? Similiar houses in other villages are paying significantly less. Seems like Wadsworth properties take forever to sell-probably because no one wants to pay the outrageous taxes here. After all, how many buyers out there can afford a 2400 sq ft home with a $10K tax bill? The tax bill on this same home in another village will be almost half. I'd like to see what the tax bill will be on the the 24 luxury homes in the new Forest View subdivision and how fast they will sell.
