There are reams of regulations for trains, airplanes, motorcycles, bicycles, roller skates, and a hundred other things we use every day. People still get hurt and sometimes die using them. Should we ban all of them?
Your argument is specious.
Exactly. I wonder when these folks will realize that these tragedies happen because they ignore the rules & regulations, as if the rules - and the consequences - don't apply to them. The rules were made to keep you SAFE.

And don't think for a second that I don't get just as pissed off about 60 yr old drunk drivers as I do about the 18 yr old video-game-drivers. None of them should be allowed on the road with the rest of us who hope to die of natural causes at a ripe old age.

Auto vehicles have been around for over 115 years now. Laws and regulations for driving auto vehicles were formulated and tweaked over the years ever since the first auto vehicles appeared. The laws and regulations for driving auto vehicles were DESIGNED and INTENDED to PREVENT crashes. And after all of those years, here is what it has come down to::
.
o LEGAL requirement that people possess a driver license to operate a auto vehicle.
o LEGAL age limit for being eligible to be issued a driver license.
o PHYSICAL requirements to possess a driver license.
o Driver education courses to teach people proper driving habits.
o Formal road and book testing to determine qualification to be issued a driver license.
o Built-in auto vehicle safety features to protect occupants of auto vehicles against physical harm.
o Standards in infrastructure (roads, bridges, lighting, signs, guardrails, enforcement,**** for auto vehicles to get around.
o Traffic laws designed and intended to prevent crashes are enacted by the tons
o Punishments of EVERY magnitude for people who disobey traffic laws.
And the list goes on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on.
YET THERE STILL CONTINUES TO BE THESE TRAGIC INCIDENTS FROM AUTO VEHICLES ON A REGULAR ONGOING BASIS!!
GO FIGURE!!
That's because we still haven't found an acceptable cure for stupidity, so we have to rely upon good old natural selection.

Is your stammering hereditary or are you a big fan of Homer Simpson? Once again, PLEASE enlighten us on the mode of transportation you subscribe to that will replace the modern day auto, the world is waiting O'h concerned one for your answer. Can we move on to fire next since that kills many people every year? Give us the 'root cause' of fire O'h concerned one.

Horses killed a lot of people back in the day. Guess that rules them out, too. Plus, they have to eat even when you're not using them.

I love how whenever there's an article about a young person that dies in a car accident, all the a**holes come out of the woodwork with their "moral opinions" about how "reckless and stupid" the person was for dying in a car crash. Obviously they've never lost someone they cared about in that way, because how could you even say such horrible sh*t when you know that her friends are going to read it?
Hey idiots, its not your place to judge nor to say that this girl or anyone else "deserves" to die just because of driving too fast or, God forbid, being a teenager. I lost my friend 2 years ago in a crash and I still think of him every day and pray for his family who lost their eldest son. Nobody deserves to die young, nobody deserves to lose their life like this and I hope that all you morons and heartless freaks never have to suffer through losing a loved one like this...although you probably should, so maybe you'd keep your mean thoughts and evil rhetoric away from normal people grieving for a lost child and friend.
A**HOLES!!!

EXACTLY!!!!
And you NEVER, I repeat NEVER, I repeat again NEVER, will find an "acceptable cure".
People are human beings, and human beings make mistakes. ALWAYS have. And ALWAYS will. NOBODY can change people. NOBODY.
HENCE, by simple deduction and process of elimination that leaves AUTO VEHICLES to be under the scrutiny. AUTO VEHICLES, the mechanical device that kills, maims, and destroys lives and lifestyles. Get rid of auto vehicles. No auto vehicles; No crashes. It is THAT simple.
I can't support that. I don't get enough vacation time to walk there & back again.

A**HOLES!!!
Let's see...I've lost a great many people over the years, because of:

drugs
reckless driving
AIDS
incurable disease
old age
smoking
drinking
suicide
undetected heart condition (age 5)
cardiac arrest

More than half of that list wouldn't exist had those people not done something so stupid.

I'm a long way from being an a**hole. I'm a realist. And hey, I'm still alive.

MY focus is on ONLY the many severe devastating problems America is facing due to AUTO VEHICLES.
In case YOU are just new, I will provide this FYI::
"Auto" meaning NOT a HORSE drawn carriage, or anything like that. It's propelled by a MOTOR rather than an animal or wind, etc. It is virtually any automobile, van, motorcycle, SUV, mini-van, truck, RV, ATV, etc.
Your use of capitals is very distracting. If you are attempting to emphasize, stop. Anyone beyond a 4th grade reading level can understand the meaning.

You don't know anything about the "7" Kids. Its not a hate crime at all, they were never racist in anyway. Maybe 1 deserves to go to jail, but the other innocent kids who actually didn't do anything (little did you know) don't desevre to. The media twist everything up, its disgusting, half of the kids, didn't even know what was going on, nor touched the man. Its bullsit & you people don't know anything. & Rest In peace Katie.
