Had the dog not survived, it's likely that the woman would have.
Don't you think that would have been a better outcome?
An animal can be replaced; a human being can't.
Contrary to popular belief among the animal rights wackos, animals are not equal to people.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even you. You cannot take the scenario and change it around to "what if" which is what you are trying to do. I, too, am glad the dog survived. That is a simple statement which implies nothing more than that.
As far as replacing an animal, I don't believe you have ever loved a pet if you think they are replaceable. So next time don't comment on something you know nothing about.

This woman is DEFINITLEY what is refered (by local law enforcement)to as a 10-96! She is constantly griping about something going on and her husband, though not as extreme, often joins in.

This pair is redneck trash that is certain that the world should work their way.(eg - constanly complaining, even in the middle of the day, about dogs barking - in an area with NO ordinances regarding noise, as they have FREQUENTLY been told by law enforcement... meanwhile their mongrel's running the neighborhood, knocking over trash and digging up plants in neighbors' yards)

Like the shooter missing her target, you missed the point. The case (like a homicide before it) will be investigated as an accidental homicide as opposed to a deliberate act.If you knew anything about the political farces at work in that county, you would be addressing the issue at hand as opposed to your exploitation of the "accident" as a means to assert your personal views on gun control. Its cheap & and shamelessly self centered speech on your behalf which revolves around you as opposed to the subject at hand.

<quoted text>I like your moxey and I commend you. You're absolutely right, the dogs were the victims.
I, quite frankly, couldn't afford to take a chance on being charged with a crime. That's why I was going to take the shot from a darkened window.
I did have to actually chuckle when I read your response. Unfortunately for me I wasn't thinking with my brain at the time or I would not have been seen or caught... as I told the judge at the end of the trial. He did actually have a slight smile on his face.

I feel sorry for your neighbors. Dog sh*t in the yard = license to kill???
I don't own a dog, but I am NOT on your side on this. Yeah, I hate it when someone's dog craps in my yard... but it's not punishable by DEATH! Not the dogs OR the humans.
I think you need to be medicated.
I ALWAYS pick up my dog poop & don't even let my dogs pee on other peoples stuff.

I'll bet the mutt was barking it's head off for all hours while the owner ignored it.

Loose dogs, barking dogs and the owners refusal to be responsible and considerate is the main reason things like this happen.
Stupid people shouldn't own any animal.
