Go to www.courierpress.com and check out the story....the shooter's mug shot was on there. Or check out www.1wfie.com - it showed the shooter being loaded into the police car.

You can take the girl out of the trailer park, but not the trailer park out of the girl

or

How sad all the way around.

The hole for the cat had to have been pretty shallow for a Shih tzu, who probably weighs all of 10 pounds, to dig it up. Is this a reason to kill the dog? I think NOT!!! She obviously intended to kill the dog, so I think she should be charged with murder because she intended on killing in the first place.

This shooter is reckless and, apparently, lacking in self-control. They need to charge her with everything they can and, if convicted, give her the maximum allowable amount of prison time. People not only need to be punished for this type of "yard-rage", everybody else must see that there are very strict punishments for this type of barbaric behavior.

I believe the dog should be held responsible as an accomplice for this crime! If I were being chased by the police after running a red light and another cop ran over someone else on the way to join in the pursuit, I would be charged with the pedestrians death, right? Why should the dog not face charges as well? LOL

Agreed, same logic applies to them being President of our once great country, holding an elected office, or even voting for that matter. I love how the police officer in the article commented that any time you pick up a gun to shoot something it is not an accident - funny, that doesn't seem to apply to law enforcement. They shoot people with hairbrushes, etc., but those are always accidents. Oh yeah, I forgot, law enforcement is above the law.

Boy, I looked at the picture. That is one ugly woman. Maybe she is jealous of the little dog. Maybe her husband had been having an affair with the dog....much better looking.

I don't think a man who had been in prison twenty years would want that women.

She is so NASTY that when she applied for the ugly contest they told her 'NO Professionals'!!!

Hmmmm....I hope you are being sarcastic. Second Amendment allows you to protect your home. I hardly think a Shih Tzu is a danger.

Ok, owner out getting her dog out of the yard. I will guarantee you this, you shoot at my dog while I am trying to get it and you hit me, you will DIE and I will piss on your carcass.

This is a tragic, stupid accident, but things like this are rare. Most gun deaths take place in the city, and victims and the perps are far from what you call rednecks. Rednecks and Christians are just the only group that it is still OK to make fun of can call names.
Accidents are incidents that happen without any intent of causing the damage. This woman had intent to harm and understood that the gun is deadly. She recklessly fired it, apparently in the direction of the lady in order for it to hit the lady. Therefore, no accident. She may not have intentionally killed the lady, but her reckless, self centered, heartless actions did.

Does it really matter what caliber gun she used... A 22 or a 357? I have noticed that several comments centered on the size of the gun. A lady is still dead regardless of the caliber gun. Would she be less guilty if the gun had been a 22?

Why even spend time arguing about who got what evidence? Good Lord. Do you not realize that someone's life was taken here over something so very minor?? A friend, an aunt, a daughter...someone's daughter was taken from them at 29 for something completely stupid. And that woman's decision didn't just take a life but impacted her own family severely. What an idiot in rage. And over this??

I have kids walking through my yard killing my flowers repeatedly and smashing my pumpkins during Halloween. So do I get to pull a gun and shut?
