I'm having a hard time understanding how after 17 years this is now just cominmg to light. Waconia Officials somewhere knew of this situation, it was never hidden, he was hired after the charges, he worked for Waconia while serving his sentence, and has been a good solid employee according to all reprots I've seen.
Yes, his crime was terrible but we all make mistakes, some even pretty bad mistakes, but what we do after that should also be looked at. How can two wrongs make one right. Sometimes the media stirs things up that should be left alone or followed through other channels without getting everybody riled up so that they are not thinking with their heads but with their emotions. I don't live in Waconia and don't know the outcome of the meeting but am troubled by the way this all came about. I hope the City Council deals with heads and not their emotions. |
