I am not related but used to work closely with one of the officials in question and never did I see or know of any wrong doing with this man. He in fact went out on a wire numerous times to help with citizens cases. People, follow the law and you wont pay!!!!!! How can it be wrong for an officer to issue speeding tickets???? I am a public service worker and believe me if people didnt break laws there would be alot less tragedy in this world. I have seen people killed because of drivers not paying atten and speeding. I have had loved ones killed because of someone driving under the influence. Dont be judge and jury if you dont have all the FACTS. Not just newspaper write ups because they are biased. Proven fact. Small town opinions. Not worth a red cent. Mr Doss has more of vendetta than "honest righting wrongs" mentality. Why dont some of you put your lives on the line for someone you dont know then do it over and over again and then gripe and judge others.

The police in Houston have quotas that are illegal. The mayor doesn't do anything to stop it because it generates money. Sure the police are commiting a crime but it's for the greater good of the city.

It is quite obvious if a town is a speed trap or not based off of how many tickets are issued and if they EXPAND their limits out just so they can ticket people as they are "Driving through the country" It is another thing if they are in the populated areas.

The police should be looking for crack heads

You are part of the problem. You are an active contributor to corruption and theft from the public. Fake tickets are not O.K. The police are issuing phony tickets for things that didn't occur. They are accusing people of running stop signs when that crime did not take place. They have to write tickets because the city is low on cash. You have criminal robbing your home, and the police rob you before you can get there. They are a sad bunch. I don't see the police the way I did when growing up. It is a true testament to how things have changed for the worse.

I just went thru Hubbard Saturday 5/15/2010 around 5:00 pm. I went thru an intersection on Hwy 31 heading north east towards Corsicana. The policeman whose last name begins with a W and ends with a D pulled me over issuing me a for running a red light. I was traveling about 35 miles per hour and the light had just turned yellow appx 30 feet before I entered the intersection. I saw the policeman who was sitting at the intersection and procedded thru looking up at the light to see if it turned red, it did not. This was about within 3 seconds. As soon as I got thru the intersection he waited a full 2 seconds then turned right, flipped his lights on and pulled me over. I asked why I was being pulled over he told me I had run the light, I told him no I did not it was clearly yellow just before I entered the intersection. After writing the ticket I argued with him and asked him to return to the intersection to look at the light and the way it changed from yellow to red. He told me no that was a TXDOT problem. Upon getting my ticket I went back to the intersection and sat in the parking lot of a service staion watching the light chage several times. When the light I went thru turns yellow there is a full 5 seconds before it turns red and a full second after it turns red before the light where he was sitting turns green. I went back to find the officer and asked that he return to the light with me and watch the light changing HE REFUSED. I plan to contest this ticket but I am quite sure I will loose and after reading this Website and the other searches I have made concerning this city and it's police force it is very obvious that there is a need for someone to investigate the number of tickets issued it the city. JUst think about it WHY WOULD I RUN A LIGHT IN CLEAR VIEW OF A POLICEMAN, IF I HAD SEEN THE LIGHT TURN YELLOW SAY 50 OR 60 FEET BEFORE THE INTERSECTION I WOULD HAVE STOPPED, BUT 30 FEET, COME ON. Also he claimed " When you see a yellow light, you don't speed up to run thru" Whicjh is not the case at all. And wouldn't he go back and look at the light changing? Why was it the first thing out of his mouth was he has video???????
I'm sure I won't win this and this little speed trap town can choke on my $166.00.
To the policeman...... You know you were wrong and I hope you enjoy my $166.00, maybe they can buy you a scratch pad to write notes and doodle on instead of you left forearm...
To others out there WATCH OUT FOR THIS SPEED/STOP SIGN TRAP..... HUBBARD TX between Waco and Corsicana on Hwy 31
Stay safe and stay safer around this guy

Was gonna buy property there but this kind of negative reputation that Hubbard has will keep me and my money away. I will buy near there but my tax dollars and business will go elsewhere.

We are a nation of guns, what can a police officer do that an average person can not? They are not divine and should have more schooling because they abuse their power.

My boys go to school in Hubbard, we are staying just outside of Hubbard. What is so interesting is that Hubbard has a ton of police cars compared to other small towns near Hubbard.
