Having waited through that traffic, and now finding out what happened...can anyone tell me why someone wasn't out there re-directing traffic...or closing down the highway instead of letting people pile up in traffic? By the time we arrived, traffic had been stopped for hours...but no one along the route knew what had happened. Someone should have blocked off traffic and headed people on an alternate route.

Having sat through that traffic mess for 7 hours heading south on I-35 and moving only 1/2 mile I wonder why there was no re-directing of traffic. To say that the traffic was backed up for 20 miles was a gross understatement, in 7 hours it must have backed up all the way to Dallas.
