Coach relieved of duties at New Milford gym center

When Dominica Pisani learned in July that a gymnastics coach who was training athletes at her New Milford facility, Elite Gymnastics Center, could be seen on the Internet slapping a young gymnast in Romania, she let him go.

Mihael Anton assisted coaching with my son at Vasi's and both my wife and I feel strongly that he was outstanding in every way. I don't know what happened in Romania but it seems as though he is paying the price over and over for a mistake he made. Had this been a case of molestation then certainly he should no longer be allowed to coach but it wasn't. I wish that the decision to let this excellent coach go could be reveiwed.

I am 18 years old and have trained with Mihael Anton. He is a great guy and that is not of his character to do that. If you were to ever see a training session with Mihael you would see him in his element, joking, smiling and training. Miheal is a great coach and person!
