Tired of Visalia Community Just letting things slide.

I was wondering is Visalia a dead community are we a bunch of dumbass hillbillys' hidden in the big city. It is as bad out here then in Covington. Visalia sits around and we do nothing if we get robbed, or vandalized our community is starting to look like a shit hole and no one is doing anything about it. It is rare occasions when I see police officers patroling out here. Why are we not bitchin more to make our nieghborhood a safer place to live. When I had some problems a few months back and the police got involved they told me on the phone that out here the best thing to do was to take care of it myself to take the law in my own hands. It is getting ridiculous around here. Lets throw the garbage out and get this area cleaned up.

I agree with you, I have just moved back to Visaila after 30 years , and it damn sure was not like this when I left but what the hell can you do if the police tell people to take care of things them self then we should do just that
and try to stay on the right side in doing so

some people close to me got robbed at night and the locals took care of at least one leaving him taking a nap in the middle of the road till the police showed up , another vagrant drunk was giving some neighbors a problem at night, banging on doors and windows he would not leave , I had to take upon myself to restrain this asshole from covington, till the police escorted him to where ever the hell it is they took him

Bottom line is stick up for yourself and others that may not be able to , lets not put up with the assholes that seem to be migrating to our area. keep our eyes open and be pro-active within
our rights and the limits of the law
