Rodney has been returned to his cell where he belongs. That cocky smirk has been wiped from his face. Shackled, chained unshaved and hair uncut. I think Rodney is starting to realize this is not a game.

Nicholas Nalls was my son. We all are very hurt by not only his death but the ridiculous sentence received by Rodney Williams. However, we are a family who conducts ourselves with class and dignity at ALL times. My grandaughter is a very beautiful young lady who has been devastated by this event. I love her very much.

I believe in karma... If Mr. Williams was indeed defending himself he and his God knows that for sure and he has nothing to worry about .. but if that's not the case I feel for him..
I've been reading this whole forum and I'm amazed at the number of people who condone killing if they feel the person who was killed is a "bad" guy.. Under God's law justice is always served 100% of the time.
I pray for peace and resolve for both sides of the family and the community. We are all victims from this event just some more than others.

RIP Nic (aka Freddie) Thanks for looking out for your younger brother on that day..

Rodney can tell his story at his court martial. He has been charged with first degree murder.

Hopefully the Navy judicial system will now do what the civilian court failed to do, and that is to lock him up for a long time. He doesn't deserve any rank or benefits, he forfeited those the night he pulled that trigger. He could have walked away because Nalls did not have a gun.

whoa whoa....u dont have to call her an idiot first of all! rodney is my father and he was carrying a gun because he has the right to carry a gun because he is in the navy. he wasn't jus carrying it around for no reason dumb ass! get a life!

You are an idiot. The comment that you made is outrageous. If your uncle is a good guy then why was he out & about carrying a gun? A hoodlum does that right? But he is on active duty as a Chief Petty Officer of the United States Navy and that is a disgrace to the Navy. The whole situation is messed up, but you should not say that the victim deserved to die. All your little statement says is how ghetto you are.

Williams is on his way to Leavenworth. That last verdict was a joke. He won't get off with a slap on the wrist this time.

Your fathers job did not entitle him to carry a gun. Just because you are Navy does not mean that you carry a gun. He was not an MA and even if he was he was obviusly off duty that night. He was carrying it simply because he could. Please get the facts about the navy before making a comment like that.

How can you not mean to kill someone but yet you empty a full clip shooting a parson 8 times??? I dont understand that. He only got a year because the jury felt sorry for him. He would have gotten a different charge if they felt "he didnt meant to kill him"

I agree! I am in shock right now as I read all these articles. He was IT1 Williams when I met him in 2002. He was my mentor. He never even raised his voice. I just cant see him doing this the way the articles say. So sad.
