Like I said all of you are hollering "self-defense" so that means that my cousin has to be the bad guy? No, so why do you all act like Rodney couldn't have done anything bad? I don't understand. I hope his family the best but justice needs to be served. We all will see when the trial comes, and if it is not self defense I hope you all learn that it is always two sides to a person.

Sorry for your loss, but I know Rodney.. Not saying that your cousin was a bad guy but tempers flare and I just wish it did not go that far but like you said we will see when the trial comes and he is vindicated

Yes, justice has been served, your cousin was a hoodlum and Rodney is out. Shows that the good prevail.

my uncle Rodney is a nice person and in order for him to do something like that somebody had to be messing with him and to all the people who is saying stuff nobody knows the real truth and everybody should just be quiet until the trial is over. Anybody who knows him he is a quiet person and he not the type person to just start something with somebody. So can we all just leave it alone!

You are an idiot. The comment that you made is outrageous. If your uncle is a good guy then why was he out & about carrying a gun? A hoodlum does that right? But he is on active duty as a Chief Petty Officer of the United States Navy and that is a disgrace to the Navy. The whole situation is messed up, but you should not say that the victim deserved to die. All your little statement says is how ghetto you are.

Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? A few comments have portrayed Rodney as a hoodlum, but if you don't know all the facts you are only speculating and assuming the worse based on what could be slanted reporting. I'm not saying Rodney is innocent nor guilty, but let the courts decide based on hard evidence. Also, everyone has the right to their opinion, so please stop with the immature name calling!

My cousin Rodney has always been cool and laid back. Somebody really had to push him for him to do what he did. It's not like he was out looking for trouble. Trouble found him and he dealt with it. That's just the way it is. Love you Cuz!!!

I was stationed with Rodney in Bahrain just before the incident... Rodney is a good person! Does anyone have any up to date information on his case? Thanks

I was also stationed with Rodney Williams in Bahrain, but unlike Jarett B, I thought Rodney was a tremendous piece of crap. I didn't know anyone who held a positive opinion of him, and I wasn't surprised at all when this story broke. The guy was a thug.

Back at you, Kabista.

I guess you missed the part where I mentioned that nobody I knew liked the guy. He was all about going out of his way to project a "thug" image.

Jealous? Of a piece of garbage like him? Hardly.

If this is the kind of guy that you look up to and emulate, then you've either never seen his real personality or you're completely delusional.

Or, you're defending him for some other reason. I knew the guy in Bahrain, and NOBODY I knew who worked around him would dispute anything I've said here. The guy was a thug.

To Chupacabra, I too was stationed in Bahrain and I don't think you know what you are talking about. Rodney had lots of friends and the friends he had were very classy and well respected individuals. I seen Rodney on a day to day basis especially in the chiefs mess and out in town. I agree with Kabista, you are either jealous or just not the type likes successful hard workers. We all had fun in Bahrain and Rodney was always invited to every function I've known about. He was invited because of his personality and the company he kept. He was funny and loved to get out and have fun. You might just be one of those people that got his ass kicked in pool by him. Enough said. Climb back into you hole with the other Bush lovers.

So does anyone have an update on this case. Is Rodney out of jail or released back to the Navy? Is the case over? I would just like an update if possible. Thanks

I been knowing Rodney for over 20 yrs and I have to say I never seen him angry enough to hurt other human being. I do believe he was back up into a corner where he had to defend himself. He is a good person with a good heart and want what's best for everyone. For that person to say he was a thug have to be speaking of other Rodney. And yes he is a person with alot of class and think very positive of himself how else could he be a chief in the navy.

The shooting was Not in self-defense; it was a straight up murder. I WAS THERE! He was acting like an asshole and a wannabe thug all night. This dude obviously had a lot of people fooled.

The bottom line is he was the only person out there with a gun; bullets were flying everywhere. He pointed the gun at my partner and pulled the trigger but it jammed. He will have plenty of time to work on his thug game when he's in jail.

Does anyone have any updated info on this case? I worked with Rodney and thought that he was a pretty upstanding guy. I didn't know him outside of work so I can't speak for his character after hours but was professional during the duty day.
