I had not read the coments already posted. I see now what I had already suspected as for the description of these guys.
WAVY seems afraid to report descriptions.

As for being afraid--you will be in such situations, but I refuse to be a passive victim. Drive away! These idiots are not accomplished marksmen--you stand a better chance trying to leave than remaining frozen while you are beaten, your child threatened...

Situational awareness is important--sadly enough, especially for women in parking lots.

...and for the previous recommendation to get a concealed weapon permit: Do it. Also, get some training and stay proficient with your weapon.
Pepper spray, in a panic situation, will not do you much good. in addition to getting the capsicum spray on you--you will run a serious risk of only making the perpetrator very angry.

I just don't understand why more Virginians, especially women seem to be afraid or otherwise reluctant to getting a concealed carry license....particularly in a state that empowers its citizens 2nd Amendment rights as ours has for the last 15 years or so. I'm not criticizing THE victim to be VICTOR by any means, but just people I know in general, especially my sisters. Its very frustrating that they won't listen to me or take the threats out here seriously. They seem to think the police will just magically show up if they need help, they don't realize that a few minutes can be an eternity and alot of bad things can happen before help shows up. I've even offered to buy them an easy to handle gun like a Glock 19 as a gift for them and a years pass at the local range...but still they refuse. Now if only this state could pass the Castle Law like TX and FL has!

On my way Home the other evening, two Black youths & a Black girl were walking on the sidewalk. One of the young men threw a bottle right in front of my car...I don't believe it was a racial thing, just a stupid thing done by an idiot. I stopped & was going to just turn around as my husband (who is Black) has always told me don't say nothing, don't look them in the eye, just walk on. So, I was gonna turn around & leave the situation as is...until a Black woman walking stepped in..."Why don't you pick that bottle up?!" she hollered w/ hands on hips to the kids! So I chimed in w/ "Can't you be a gentleman & kick the pieces to the side?" and the one would've but for his friend who kept telling him to "C'mon." Ah, that peer pressure gets them everytime. The Black woman was so upset w/ their actions. My husband pulls up, thinking something was wrong w/ my car...I filled him in & he's like "It's over, come on Home. Don't say anything." Why must it be like this?? Black folks are even disgusted w/ Black youth's actions!! Grown Black adults are leery of chastising the youth for fear of repercussion, be it a gun or violence in another form. I'm not racial by any means but as another person who always posts here has said, it's not the people, it's the behavior and irresponsible actions that I've learned to hate. Black people are living up to their stero-types. C'mon people...the person you refuse to "tell" on may just be the one who kills you or your mom or family member in the future. These dogs don't deserve to be on the streets.
