Judge A. Bonwill Shockley should be terminated from the bench due to poor judgment on his/her part for reducing the sentence for that so called snitch who murders people. I hope the lawyer will put in a notice to the Judicial Department to remove that judge from the bench---permanently!!!

I am deeply distrubed that a judge and the commonwealth's attorney (CA) has allowed and is with reducing the sentence for Mr. Gurley. "He has changed" they said, yes I can see he has it's as clear as smoke. He is much smarter. He out witted, outlasted and out played you all. He's a survivor. He sought out defendants in high profile cases, got them to confide in him and then he told authorities. That's not a change it doesn't attest to his desire or unwillingness to attempt murder again. I pray not... but fear that the CA's office will be trying him again and someone will have lost a child.

Ok guys, let's think for a minute...12 years, or 25 years. Does it really matter? If he is going to get out of jail to come after his wife again, does it really matter how long he stays in there? Ok, yes the judge is shallow and blah blah blah. But again, if he is angry enough to come after her in 12 years, don't you think he would still be simmering for the 25? The length of time does not matter, unless the sentemce was for life.

Virginia Beach jail administrators seek out first time offenders of violent crimes to offer stitch detail in exchange for reduced sentences. The requests for such people comes from the Commonwealth Attorney's office. The deal usually involves a sworn statement of a confession of guilt to a snitch that the CA's office needs to get a conviction; this confession is needed where there are no witnesses and no solid evidence. Often times a "gut feeling" or the intuitive "knowing" of a persons guilt can be cause for the CA's office to entice another inmate to give a sworn statement of a confession in exchange for favors or a reduced sentence. The problem is that snitches will often lie, or are coached with what to report, as to provide the needed info that will assure their reward. There is no justice in "good 'ol boy" legal system.

Judge Shockley was given a confession of the defendant admitting he was guilty
of something but not sure what it was. The defendant admitted that I was
asleep when he decided to (since she found him innocent I cannot put what he
really did) to my body. I was helpless and when I came too, I was in shock.
Never in my life did I expect someone like a step-father to do this to me. As
I awoke and put myself together and started thinking clearly I did all of the
right steps. I got enraged, I called the cops, got a perk done. I did
everything right. This defendant has been charged with sexual offenses twice
now and he has gotten set free. There are still children living with him at
his residence and Judge Shockley has now allowed him to continue doing what he
did to me and his minor neighbor. This needs to stop. A jury voted 11-1
GUILTY a few months prior and the only reason that one wouldn't budge was
because she was a victim of a violent rape by a stranger. She should not have
been in the jury in the first place. WHY can 11 civilians see the truth but
someone that has the right to make indefinite decisions doesn't have knowledge
of what rape really is? She should not be a judge until she studies what the
definition is.

SHE NEEDS TO NOT BE A JUDGE!

So typical of our court system. What a joke! Our judge here in this case should be held accountable when this career criminal strilkes again.

Judge hockley in addtion to her recent transgression(s), reversed her own [1994] conviction, in 1996, after she threatened the defendant with court action for submiting a petition/motion therefor. The response by Judge Shockley was as rompted only aftr the defendant was granted a Writ Of Mandamus which forced a response to said motion. Her response (again), was to reverse her own conviction. A decision based on information which was presented and argued at trial. Judge shockley definitely does not deserve to sit on the bench in judgement of anyone.
